GGuest UserThe room was very clean, and the guesthouse itself was beautiful with a lovely small courtyard and a big dog. It's also kid-friendly! You can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the hotel, and if the weather is good, you can even catch the 'golden mountain' sunrise right from the entrance. It's super quiet at night, and you can see so many stars ✨. It's just a short walk to Baisha Old Town, so getting around is very convenient, and it's close to all the attractions. The staff were also really nice. I truly love Lijiang; the pace of life is so relaxed. I'll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

AAAAwudixunmenglongPicking Shitoucuo was the absolute best decision for my relaxed May Day trip to Lijiang! A week before arrival, the hotel reached out to arrange airport transfers, check-in details, and an activity schedule. Anything we needed, we just had to mention it in the group chat, and it was handled immediately.
This time, I opted for a four-day, three-night package, which included breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, so I didn't have to worry about what to eat. There was no need to plan my own itinerary; each day, I simply participated in the hotel's activities: mountain foraging, horseback riding, Naxi home visits, botanical specimen making, tea roasting, and a bonfire party. The May Day afternoon tea was a barbecue on the lawn, and it was incredibly pleasant to enjoy grilled food with a view of the snow-capped mountains.
Every day at Shitoucuo, I felt incredibly well taken care of! 👍

The location is great, near the Mufu Mansion, offering a quiet retreat without having to walk long distances on cobblestone streets, which is very child-friendly. The room was clean and spacious, and our child absolutely loved it. The terrace offered excellent views, overlooking the ancient city. The butler service was thoughtful and attentive; they proactively helped with luggage and were very gentle and patient. Overall, it was quiet and comfortable, and we rested really well. Highly recommend for families traveling with children!

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a beautiful environment. From my room, I had a panoramic view of Lijiang Old Town. The room decor was cozy, and the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. The hotel also offers a hot spring service, which was a perfect treat after a long day of sightseeing. Soaking in the bath really helped me relax and shake off the fatigue. The breakfast was plentiful and nutritious, offering a wide variety of options! The hotel owner was incredibly hospitable. Right from the moment I booked, they added me on WeChat and provided comprehensive service, including thoughtful and attentive pick-up and drop-off from the station!

CCherie TangThe rooms were clean and had a good view of the mountains. They catered to early breakfast daily when you have to leave early and the hospitality is surprising despite being a homestay and small establishment. Only negative is that there was ongoing constructions so moving the luggages were a problem. There is a small laundry room that you can use but is dependent on if you have a slot. Overall, has good amenities and cars to take you to town - shu he and lijiang town whenever you wish.
Room given was abit hot in the afternoon but overall a very pleasant stay.

It's pretty much in the center, so you can walk to all the places you want to visit in just a few minutes. What I really want to talk about is the hotel's amenities. The rooftop is an exclusive photo spot for guests, with flowers, a piano, and afternoon tea – you can even get amazing shots with the snowy mountains in the background. For entertainment, there's billiards, karaoke, and a gym. Seriously, the facilities are so comprehensive!

GGuest UserLocated right at the entrance of the village, it's very convenient for self-driving, as going further in can lead to traffic jams. The entire guesthouse, including the courtyard, is beautifully and exquisitely designed. The room decor is high-end and cozy, and even the toiletries like shower gel are premium, making you feel comfortable using them. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The owners, both the husband and wife, are lovely and kind people, very warm and polite.

GGuest UserHey everyone! Today I want to highly recommend an amazing guesthouse—Guanxin Inn, located right in the picturesque Shuhe Ancient Town. The environment here is absolutely breathtaking, with its grey tiles and white walls, small bridges, and flowing water; every step offers a new beautiful scene, making you feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale. The bedding in the rooms is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a superb resting experience every night that completely relaxes your mind and body. What's more, the guesthouse pays special attention to environmental hygiene and meticulous design; every corner exudes tranquility and elegance. Whether you're enjoying tea and watching the sunrise in the morning or listening to the wind and admiring the lanterns at night, life just feels so much more charming here! I strongly recommend that anyone visiting Shuhe Ancient Town give 'Guanxin' Inn a try!

GGuest UserThis was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience.
Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group.
Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent.
We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive.
There are, however, a few areas that could be improved:
1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements.
2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume.
3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold.
4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage.
5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming.
6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree)
Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. We would definitely love to return again someday.

我们在 Baiyun 的晚餐体验同样十分出色。餐厅氛围非常好，食物也非常美味。
此外，我们也非常享受酒店赠送的摄影体验，这成为了整趟旅程中最难忘的亮点之一。摄影师非常专业且有耐心，在整个拍摄过程中不断引导我们，并拍下了许多非常漂亮的照片。最后，我还特地购买了摄影套餐，因为成品实在太优秀，非常值得珍藏。那边的工作人员也都非常热情、友善、高效率且回复迅速。
不过，酒店仍有几个方面可以进一步提升：
1. Mingyue 的菜单及营业安排稍微有些混乱。我们原本计划某晚在那里用餐，后来才发现中餐只在特定日期和时段供应，导致我们需要临时另作安排。
2. 房间的隔音效果可以再加强一些，因为即使隔壁房客只是正常音量交谈，我们也能听得相当清楚。
3. 淋浴的水温不太稳定。虽然我们已经调到舒适温度，但水温偶尔还是会突然下降，变得非常冷。
4. 员工或许可以更主动及细心一些。我们第一天抵达房间时正好下雨，而下车的位置并没有遮雨处，因此我们在搬运行李时需要短暂淋雨。
5. 房内水果盘的新鲜度可以再提升。苹果和橙子的状态，相较于我们之前在大理及昆明入住的其他酒店，感觉没有那么新鲜。
6. 早餐选择方面可以再更加丰富一些。我也特别期待能有更多现做的新鲜排毒果汁或特色果汁。（类似Banyan Tree Bintan的安排）
尽管存在这些小问题，但整体入住体验依然非常优秀。度假村内的景色和环境真的非常漂亮，我们尤其喜欢可以喂鸭子和鱼儿的体验，让整个氛围变得格外轻松惬意，也非常适合家庭度假。未来有机会的话，我们一定还会想再次回来入住。

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
