My host, Dalin, was extremely kind and responsive to all of my needs. He even helped reach out to drivers when I was unable to call a Didi back from the Yulong mountain visitor center! Welcomed at the alley by the manager, greeted with warm smiles and great hospitality towards the kids by giving us a free upgrade to a bigger room (based on availability). Breakfast choices were simple, healthy, and fulfilling each day. Really nothing beats a slow morning looking out at the majestic mountain. The hotel staff were all approachable and easily reached via WeChat, they really went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Rooms were clean and spacious! They also offer a complimentary tea set, a free shuttle to an ancient town of our choice, and a free airport transfer. The hotel is a little hard to find at first, but we had no trouble getting Didi in and out daily. Would stay again if we come back to Lijiang!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect roadside location for Lijiang! Amazing Location: Right beside the main road, making car access and luggage handling completely hassle-free. Unlike most hotels hidden deep inside Lijiang Old Town, you do not have to drag bags across long cobblestone streets. Great for Muslims: Super convenient because it is located very close to multiple halal restaurants. Bathroom Note: There is no bidet, but we easily managed by using the clean dustbin as a water bucket. Room & Views: The room was clean and featured a lovely balcony with stunning, scenic views. Helpful Staff: The team was incredibly supportive and gave us great assistance for our trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. No Elevator: Keep in mind there are no lifts. The staff kindly carried our heavy bags up at check-in. There was no one at the counter to help us carry them down during our very early morning checkout, but it was still perfectly fine for us.!"

"The constant-temperature pool at this guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! The water temperature is always just right, so it's never cold in winter or too hot in summer, thanks to the smart temperature control – super convenient. The pool is right in the courtyard, so it's just a few steps back to your room after a swim. The smart toilet is a thoughtful touch too. The owner mentioned they use an eco-friendly heat pump for the pool. Enjoying breakfast with the sunlight by the pool gave me such a huge sense of happiness! Highly recommend!"

"This is a new hotel with a great variety of breakfast options and excellent service. The parking lot is huge and even has charging stations. Unfortunately, it rained both days I stayed, so I didn't get to see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. A tip for anyone coming to Lijiang: always check the weather beforehand and book your tickets for the Great Cableway in advance, otherwise you might not get any."

Come early for breakfast if u are here during this time because there was practically nothing much left this morning. It was fine on the first day. I stayed two days. I think what attracted me to this hotel were the workshops and other activities they offer. It is also near shuhe ancient town which has a more rustic charm as compared to the other ancient towns. They are also a 7 min drive away from Muyu and Lan restaurant, some of their popular trending restaurants here. Overall the environment is very chill and has lots of green. You can call for a buggy to bring u to the main entrance or back to your room. The rooms are villa style which is refreshing after the minsu(s) I stayed in. Cleanliness wise esp the floor could be better, I gave the feedback and they immediately got housekeeper to clean up for me. A good value stay when you get the voucher on the app. I will come back again. Ps. There are 3 resorts in the same area which can be confusing. But just get the"

"If you're comfortable riding an e-bike, this place is a good option. You can walk to Lijiang Ancient Town from Black Dragon Pool Park. I saw the snow-capped mountains from a small corner near the entrance of Black Dragon Pool Park around 7 AM, but I'd really recommend going to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain scenic area for a better view."

"The Bivou Lijiang was easily the adults’ favourite stay of our entire Yunnan trip. Opened by a Singaporean, the hotel strikes a perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and warmth. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly cosy. We especially loved the heated bathroom floors, which were such a treat during the cool Lijiang weather. The breakfast spread was simple but good enough, with everything we needed to start the day. What we loved most was the atmosphere — on rainy days, we were more than happy to just stay in and enjoy the hotel because it was that comfortable and relaxing. Service was warm and genuine throughout our stay. If we had one small suggestion, it would be to replace the room carpets with hard flooring. Elegant without being pretentious, The Bivou is the kind of place that makes you wish you had booked an extra night. We’d happily stay here again."

Nice tea and delicious local rose bread are offered at check-in with helpful sightseeing and food tips. They upgraded our room for free. They also assist in carrying your luggage to and from the cab drop-off point. Convenient to hail a Didi ride (pickup/drop-off point is Bread Man 面包人). Overall, this property is a great value for your money."
