I was initially considering staying at the InterContinental next door, but I much prefer the room types at Indigo, and I'm so glad I made the right choice 🤓. King and Tianyuan, the Guest Relations Managers, provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. Seeing I was pregnant with a big belly, they helped upgrade my room! 🫶🏼 They even added me on WeChat and were super responsive to all my requests! They also helped deliver my takeout to the room, so I didn't have to go to the lobby to pick it up – much appreciated!
The cleaner came every day during my three-day stay, and the room was spotless. As a pregnant woman, I felt very well taken care of, and I'm sure it would be great for kids too. We'll definitely come back when the kids are on holiday! 😄
Breakfast can be had at the InterContinental, and the variety is amazing – both Western and Chinese options are available, plus Yunnan Xiaowo rice noodles and roasted milk. It basically saved me the cost of lunch! 😂
The location is incredibly convenient, right by the South Gate of the Old Town, and you can get there easily by taxi! 👏🏻 It's only 20 minutes from Lijiang Station. There are foot massage places and restaurants nearby, so all your dining, entertainment, and leisure needs are met! 👍🏻

First and foremost, the hotel offers diffused oxygen supply, which provides peace of mind and reassurance for families traveling with children from lower altitudes.
The hotel's service is incredibly detailed, from the pre-arrival coordination to the airport pick-up and check-in, everything was seamless. The amenities provided were also thoughtful and comprehensive, from nail clippers to feminine hygiene products, they've thought of everything, making for an excellent guest experience.
I particularly want to commend the breakfast and afternoon tea – the quality was superb, truly top-notch.
Finally, a word about the hotel's location: it's near the South Gate of the ancient town and shares a parking lot with the InterContinental, which is very convenient for those driving, avoiding the hassle of dragging luggage into the old town.
Our stay at An Yu was fantastic, and we will definitely choose an An Yu property again in the future.

ZZuiaichifanshuijuedadoudouI did a lot of research before my trip and finally chose one of the top 50 guesthouses in the country, and it turned out to be the right choice. The day before my trip, the butler arranged airport pickup service. The driver arrived on time, was friendly and polite, and the butler was there to greet us at the drop-off point. The bumpy stone road was indeed difficult to navigate, so luckily, a rickshaw took our luggage to the hotel.
Stepping into the hotel, the garden landscape was delightful. The room was set up exactly as I requested—clean and with a broad view.
The biggest difference between a guesthouse and a hotel is that a guesthouse truly considers guests' daily living habits. A dryer, dehumidifier, bathtub liners, facial cleanser, and laundry detergent were all provided. There were also disposable slippers and eco-friendly bath towels that you could take with you. The guesthouse thought of everything a guest might need.
Whenever you feel like a drink, just head down to the lobby, and the butler will freshly grind and prepare a small coffee latte for you—fragrant, rich, and delightful.
During leisure time, children can do crafts in the lobby. Everything was very satisfying.

The location is excellent — very convenient for food and most tourist attractions.
Highly recommended for those planning to take the #101 bus to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, as the bus departure point is just a short walk from the hotel.
The room features a beautiful traditional-style design, which is very charming and perfect for photos.
It is also equipped with underfloor heating, which makes the stay especially comfortable during winter.
The room was clean, cozy, with a very comfortable bed, stable hot water, and very quiet at night, allowing us to rest extremely well.
Overall, it was an excellent stay with great value for money. We would definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe service was incredibly attentive, with a dedicated concierge providing constant, prompt responses. They even started checking our itinerary before check-in to ensure a smooth and efficient arrival. The hotel environment is wonderfully tranquil; cows would leisurely stroll past the main entrance at the same time each day, their bells jingling, creating a truly idyllic, 'peach blossom spring' atmosphere. The included tie-dye experience was excellent, and the spot to watch the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' (sunrise over the mountains) was at Longnü Lake – it was beautiful and uncrowded. On the way back, our driver thoughtfully pulled over so we could capture the moment the sun leaped over the mountains – the grandeur of nature was simply breathtaking. The only downside was that some room facilities were a bit old, like the showerhead, for example. 😄 Overall, a great experience, highly recommended!!!

The kids' play area was fantastic and made our family trip so much more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge offered great views and a wide variety of drinks and snacks. Our room was spacious, and everything worked perfectly. The neatly arranged desk and welcome cards showed great attention to detail, highlighting the hotel's commitment to quality. Overall, the hotel is well-maintained, clean, and has a grand feel to it. The staff were warm and polite, making for a truly wonderful experience. It's definitely a top choice for accommodation.

The soft furnishings are elegant and tasteful, the bedding is soft and comfortable against the skin, and the amenities are complete and clean. The most stunning feature is the private viewing balcony, offering an unobstructed, direct view of the entire Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from your room. You can wake up to the 'sunlit golden mountain' phenomenon from your bed in the morning, and in the evening, sit on the terrace, enjoy the breeze, and watch the clouds drift over the mountaintops – every photo you take will be postcard-perfect, with an absolutely superb and unobstructed view.
I must particularly commend our dedicated butler, Elin. She proactively contacted us before check-in, confirmed our itinerary in advance, and even reminded us about the temperature differences between morning and evening. The entire check-in process was completely hassle-free. She was instantly available via WeChat, responding incredibly quickly, and arranged all additional supplies meticulously and thoughtfully. Her sense of propriety was just right – warm without being intrusive, with thoughtful details at every turn. Our entire trip was perfectly taken care of, making our travel experience truly wonderful.

GGuest UserI had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard Resort Lijiang. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing.
What made the stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff, particularly Luna and Gong Lin. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. They kindly lent me a charger when I needed one and also helped arrange a local tour guide by providing a reliable contact. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference to my experience.
The only area that could be improved is the enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Luna and Gong Lin. Breakfast spread should accommodate vegans and vegetarian friendly.

JJoshuaRSAMy partner and I stayed at Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa for two nights during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Overall, our experience was mixed.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the villa itself. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was excellent—one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have slept on in a long time. We had two very restful nights, and the room provided a peaceful environment to relax after exploring Lijiang.
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not live up to the hotel’s luxury branding, price point, or rating. While the property may once have been a premium resort, it now feels dated and in need of renovation. Many of the facilities and amenities appear worn, and the overall condition of the hotel gives the impression that it has not been maintained to the standard expected of a luxury resort.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The Western selection was very limited and of questionable quality, while the Chinese options were equally underwhelming. Even basic items such as the baozi did not taste freshly made. For a hotel in this price range, the food quality was surprisingly poor and far below expectations.
Having stayed at many other hotels across China, including less expensive and less prestigious brands, I have often enjoyed significantly better breakfast offerings and overall value. The dining experience simply does not reflect the premium rates charged by this property.
In summary, if you value a large villa and a comfortable bed, this hotel may still be worth considering. However, those expecting a true luxury resort experience, modern facilities, and high-quality dining may find themselves disappointed. The accommodation itself was enjoyable, but the amenities, maintenance, and food quality need significant improvement to justify the hotel’s reputation and pricing.

I arrived on October 1st, and they happened to have a tour group, but I felt like she was practically doting on me, bringing me afternoon tea and bedtime milk. She even helped me set up the internet twice and had someone bring me motion sickness medicine. She was more considerate than family; no wonder her business is so good.
