This hotel is perfectly situated at the entrance to Qiyi Street, south gate of Dayan Ancient Town. It's ideally located at the historical Tea Horse Road gateway into the city, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of Sifang Street. My biggest impression is 'small yet beautiful'. Being small, it's a courtyard-style building nestled within the ancient town, avoiding the impersonal feel of larger hotels and allowing for more focus on the guest experience. Because it's integrated into the fabric of the old town, stepping out means encountering flagstone streets and Naxi life, while stepping in offers the privacy of a quiet courtyard. It's not some cold, mass-produced product; its unique character is something I really appreciate. Indigo and the InterContinental across the street belong to the same group, so all facilities and resources are shared. You can freely access the InterContinental. If you get tired of Indigo's set breakfast, you can go to the InterContinental for their buffet, or even visit their lobby to see the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' view. I've stayed in both the deluxe boutique room with a courtyard and the suite at Indigo, and I loved them both. The decor beautifully reflects Naxi and Tea Horse cultures, making them truly worth experiencing. Last but not least, I must commend Manager Pu. He was incredibly responsive to every request, from helping with luggage to coordinating details, making us feel truly at home. You couldn't ask for more. I look forward to returning 'home' again someday.

Booked a three-room private courtyard for our family. The view from the rooms is absolutely stunning. This hotel truly lives up to its 'mini-Aman' reputation, boasting a charming antique style and top-tier room amenities. There are also plenty of free DIY activities for kids to enjoy. I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a beautiful environment. The staff's service is also exceptional. Just a heads-up, the hotel is located inside the ancient town, so cars can't pull directly up to the entrance. However, the hotel staff will come out to help with luggage, and it's only a 5-6 minute walk, which isn't a problem at all. The hotel is just a two or three-minute walk from the Mu Family Mansion, truly in the heart of the ancient town. Thumbs up!

This was my second stay at Anantara. My first experience in Sanya left a lasting impression with their exceptional service, so choosing Anantara Lijiang for this trip was a no-brainer. Their service is consistently outstanding. The room was surprisingly spacious, well-equipped, and all the amenities were of high quality. I particularly loved Anantara's combs – they felt luxurious, and they even provided options for both curly and straight hair. The Dyson hairdryer was another fantastic touch. The room always had a subtle, pleasant woody scent. Opening the window offered a lovely view of the cobblestone streets. Being next door to the InterContinental, the overall environment was quite tranquil. However, due to the wooden floors, the circular architectural style, and its location within the ancient town, some noise from neighboring rooms could occasionally be heard. My absolute favorite aspects were the exquisite and delicious afternoon tea and breakfast. The airport transfer service was also incredibly smooth.

The hotel owner is extremely friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very well taken care of. The location is excellent — very convenient for food and most tourist attractions. Highly recommended for those planning to take the #101 bus to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, as the bus departure point is just a short walk from the hotel. The room features a beautiful traditional-style design, which is very charming and perfect for photos. It is also equipped with underfloor heating, which makes the stay especially comfortable during winter. The room was clean, cozy, with a very comfortable bed, stable hot water, and very quiet at night, allowing us to rest extremely well. Overall, it was an excellent stay with great value for money. We would definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended!

The service was incredibly attentive, with a dedicated concierge providing constant, prompt responses. They even started checking our itinerary before check-in to ensure a smooth and efficient arrival. The hotel environment is wonderfully tranquil; cows would leisurely stroll past the main entrance at the same time each day, their bells jingling, creating a truly idyllic, 'peach blossom spring' atmosphere. The included tie-dye experience was excellent, and the spot to watch the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' (sunrise over the mountains) was at Longnü Lake – it was beautiful and uncrowded. On the way back, our driver thoughtfully pulled over so we could capture the moment the sun leaped over the mountains – the grandeur of nature was simply breathtaking. The only downside was that some room facilities were a bit old, like the showerhead, for example. 😄 Overall, a great experience, highly recommended!!!

Upon checking in, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. This kind gesture right at the beginning set a wonderfully comfortable tone for our entire stay. What surprised us even more was the meticulous consideration shown by our butler, Elin. Without us ever mentioning it, you noticed our preference for pillow comfort and proactively made adjustments and provided care. This level of personalized attention, embedded in the smallest details, is far more touching than standardized service. I particularly want to extend my sincerest gratitude to the entire concierge team. During a heavy rain shower, you had already arranged a parking area for us in advance when we returned. You even drove a shuttle bus to the entrance to pick us up and take us back to our room. Despite the intense rain, your staff consistently braved the weather to assist us, even thoughtfully retrieving seat cushions from our car while getting soaked themselves. This dedication, coupled with such warm human touch, will always remain in our hearts. What moved us the most was the birthday surprise for my mother. We never proactively mentioned her birthday, yet the hotel meticulously noted it and discreetly arranged birthday decorations and a cake in our room. This unexpected romance and thoughtfulness not only brought immense joy to my mother but also made our family feel at home in a foreign land, becoming the most cherished memory of our Lijiang trip. From check-in to check-out, from the seamless coordination by Guest Relations to the detailed care from the housekeeping department, and the steadfast dedication of the concierge team in all weather conditions, every staff member in every role demonstrated the essence of Banyan Tree's service with their professionalism and genuine care. The snow-capped mountains and courtyards of Lijiang are beautiful, but even more captivating than the scenery is your unparalleled and meticulous service. Once again, I sincerely thank every staff member who assisted us and wholeheartedly commend the service quality of Banyan Tree Lijiang. The room was clean and hygienic, with plenty of hot water. The cleaning staff were very diligent, and it was a relief to come back to a clean and tidy room every day. We could even see a bit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the side window. The hotel is only a two-minute walk from Black Dragon Pool, and it's easy to get a taxi nearby without getting stuck in traffic. The breakfast restaurant staff were all excellent. Breakfast started very early, which was convenient, and they offered a variety of options like four kinds of porridge, freshly ground coffee, hot dishes, and rice noodles – all clean, hygienic, and delicious. The hotel concierge was very responsible and provided attentive, excellent service. I highly recommend this place.

I had a very pleasant stay at Courtyard Resort Lijiang. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. What made the stay especially memorable was the outstanding service from the staff, particularly Luna and Gong Lin. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and eager to help. They kindly lent me a charger when I needed one and also helped arrange a local tour guide by providing a reliable contact. Their warm hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference to my experience. The only area that could be improved is the enforcement of the no-smoking policy. Although the hotel is generally excellent, cigarette smoking in the lobby was noticeable many times, which affected the otherwise pleasant environment. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend this hotel, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Luna and Gong Lin. Breakfast spread should accommodate vegans and vegetarian friendly.

I used to think InterContinental had great service, but Pullman surprisingly surpassed it. I was torn between Jinmao and Pullman this time, and I'm so glad I chose Pullman. It was unexpectedly good, with every request met. The male front desk staff who attended to me was especially patient and understanding, really taking care of guests. I experienced two downpours in Lijiang, and thanks to the Pullman front desk staff, I confidently extended my stay. (The hotel is truly lucky to have such an attendant; he deserves recognition.) P.S.: There's one thing, though. The prices on the Trip.com platform fluctuate wildly. Hotel prices naturally rise during the summer, but the same room would be 1200+ today and then 2500+ the next. This led me to book another standard room at a higher price, only for the deluxe room I was staying in to drop in price later. I don't understand this pricing strategy, which made it impossible to simply extend my stay. As a decades-long customer, I suggest you really pay attention to this, as some guests, like me, dislike changing rooms, and this really dampens the mood. It practically forces customers to switch hotels. I hope the platform takes this seriously. In the current economic climate, considering things from the consumer's perspective is crucial for long-term success. Finally, I wish the hotel continued success, and that all staff continue to be so well-trained. Highly recommended.

This guesthouse is nice; I'd give it 9-9.5/10. * The guesthouse's layout: 10/10, I like it. * The location and view of the guesthouse are not particularly good compared to nearby hotels; they're about the same. * Service: 10/10, no problem. The rooms on the south side (A?00, A?01) have a better view, while the rooms on the north side (A?03) have a slightly worse view. There are two large rooms, B?00 and B100, but because they are on the edge (north side), their front is blocked by trees. However, there are some areas for improvement, especially for extended-stay guests; the service seems more casual. (Extended-stay guests should be treated well, not have their service reduced.) [1] Let's talk about breakfast and afternoon tea first. Offering afternoon tea is a great idea. Although it's not expensive food, it allows us to spend our leisure time more leisurely in our rooms or on the rooftop, which is great. But what I'm not satisfied with is that the afternoon tea on the second day was reduced. The same applies to breakfast. We ate rice noodles in the morning, and the presentation was very beautiful. The problem was that the water wasn't hot enough. Even in summer, if I put the noodles in immediately, the meat and shrimp wouldn't cook properly. Undercooked meat and shrimp are inedible and could easily cause stomach upset. So the next day, I asked them to skip the presentation and just cook the noodles directly. As a result, each person received half the amount of rice noodles (which was acceptable since we didn't eat much), but the eggs, meat, shrimp, and fish were all gone – which I couldn't accept. Of the ten dishes on the platter, only six remained, and these were the more expensive ones. The guesthouse told me the kitchen had forgotten and they refilled the platter with fish and shrimp, but I already felt the guesthouse's integrity was questionable; it seemed they didn't welcome extended stays. So, both the afternoon tea and the following day's breakfast were discounted. [2] Traditional towels and bath towels were not provided. If I stayed at a guesthouse costing 100 yuan and they didn't provide towels and bath towels, I wouldn't mind. However, given the price is close to 1,000 yuan, the inn told me that due to hygiene reasons, they only provide disposable towels and disposable bath towels, which is not environmentally friendly. This is unacceptable to me. (If it were truly for hygiene reasons, they could provide both and let guests choose.) Also, there was a large bath towel hanging on the shower door, which was appalling because it was a ”large bath towel,” not a ”floor towel.” If my family hadn't asked beforehand why there was only one bath towel, I don't think anyone would have known that it was a floor towel the inn had asked us to put on the floor. It's disgusting if someone uses a floor towel as a bath towel without knowing it. [3] I appreciate the inn upgrading the ”Jiyue·Woju Special Price Double Room” to a lake-facing room. However, this might lead people to book only the cheapest room. This strategy can gain good reviews through upgrades, but it might also lead people to only book the cheap ”Jiyue·Woju” room. Whether this is appropriate depends on the inn's strategy. [4] The room was beautifully decorated, but there were some issues with the facilities. Of the three rooms we stayed in, the bathroom door in A100 had a large gap, so water leaked out a lot. The sink in A101 had a large hole behind it, making it difficult to retrieve items that fell in. The floor-to-ceiling window door in B100 had a large gap, so large that even at night without drawing the curtains, mosquitoes would seep in and get in.
