Here are the highlights: 1. **Excellent Location**: Just a two-minute walk through the alley brings you to Sifang Street. It truly is a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. 2. **Attentive Service**: The service was thorough and detailed in every aspect. The guesthouse arranged complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off. The transfer of people and luggage was seamless and very efficient. Since we were flying to different cities at different times, the guesthouse thoughtfully arranged separate drop-offs for each of us. The laundry service was also incredibly convenient for long-term travelers like us. 3. **Mountain View Room**: You can see the snow-capped mountains right from the room. It felt like being embraced by the mountains, perfect for relaxing and watching the clouds, mountains, and sunset. 4. **Complimentary Tea Room**: The tea room offers free tea. We bought some interesting fruits from Zhongyi Market and had a 'fruit test' while sipping tea, which was a delightful experience.

GGuest UserEverything about this place, from location to hospitality, is amazing! The homestay arranged to pick us up at an intersection and carried our luggages all the way. The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers. During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊 On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us. We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

They don't treat you like a distant 'god,' but rather like a caring friend who anticipates your every need and even goes beyond. Firstly, they ensure your arrival and departure are hassle-free; since we booked for two nights, they provided pick-up and drop-off from the train station and airport. Secondly, it's a 'one night, two meals, and one afternoon tea' package, meaning breakfast and dinner are included. The Laxi spare rib hotpot for dinner was so generous we couldn't finish it all, and the afternoon tea starting at 2:30 PM is substantial enough to fill you up even if you skip lunch – it's practically three meals a day! There's also 24/7 complimentary coffee, milk tea, and various soft drinks, plus unlimited fresh fruit, so you'll never know what hunger feels like. The rooms are ultra-modern, with Xiao Du (smart assistant) always ready to serve, and aromatherapy candles to help you relax. Daily activities are plentiful too: forest foraging, horseback riding, Naxi traditional weaving, making roasted milk tea, and crafting – you won't get bored even if you just stay at the hotel. You can also opt for a paid activity like horseback riding and hiking in the Grand Canyon for a close encounter with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In short, you won't be disappointed.

Its elevated location offers breathtaking views, allowing you to see almost the entire ancient city from the property—absolutely stunning, especially at sunset! The free breakfast was a delightful surprise, offering a great variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff went above and beyond, assisting with carrying our luggage from the taxi drop-off point, which is a few hundred meters away, making check-in a breeze. The owner was incredibly hospitable, providing helpful tips about local attractions and navigating the area, which enhanced our experience. The warm service and prime location make this hotel a gem. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lijiang!

Service: The location is very easy to find, and there's a parking lot right next to the guesthouse, which is super convenient for those driving. For guests taking public transport to Lijiang, the owner personally picks them up and drops them off. When we went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the owner woke up early to prepare breakfast for us in advance and thoughtfully provided bottled water, oxygen, and small cakes. Food: The breakfast rice noodles were delicious, and there were also mini wontons, tea eggs, fruit, small sweet sausages. The coffee and afternoon tea were also excellent, with freshly baked waffles and small cakes that all tasted great. Environment: The air conditioning was strong, so it wasn't cold at all. The bed was very comfortable, and on the second morning, we could even see the 'Golden Mountain' (referring to the sunrise on the snow-capped mountains) from our room's balcony. It's especially suitable for those who love to relax and enjoy a quiet atmosphere.

She'll explain anything you don't understand clearly. She's got everything you need to know and can help you find the perfect place to go. This B&B is quite convenient for the Old Town, close to the exit and conveniently located nearby. The room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful, with complete facilities. I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Lijiang.

The hotel's architecture beautifully blends Naxi upturned eaves with traditional Chinese courtyard aesthetics, featuring blue-grey bricks and tiles alongside red and gold interiors. Even the Dongba hieroglyphs decorating the rooms are full of character. Besides complimentary travel photography, you can also follow cultural ambassadors to learn how to make intangible cultural heritage tile cats and write Dongba script. The sunset ritual in the evening is incredibly atmospheric. Our butler, Frank, also provided excellent service, responding to our queries immediately and even helping us with a late check-out. Definitely worth a high rating! Banyan Tree is worth a second visit!

Their responses to messages were instant. When we casually mentioned needing a dressing table for makeup, they surprised us with a free room upgrade! On my birthday, they even gifted me a flower. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Overall, the experience was truly exceptional. The location is fantastic, being close to all the main attractions, and having plenty of food options right downstairs was incredibly convenient.
