The hotel is located in the ancient city, and the pick-up and drop-off service provided by the butler Xiao Zhou is excellent and warm. The hotel is conveniently located and surrounded by complete facilities. The decoration of the hotel is very local and ethnic. But the hotel facilities are great, with floor heating that performs very well and an electric toilet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very soundproofed. I saw it was all double-glazed for soundproofing. Hygienic and clean, the bedding is new. The price/performance ratio is too high~ I will come again next time.

Easy to find as is the tallest building in the town. The hotel has two parts to it- the International main building and a smaller 'local' style Which is where is stayed. Really lovely setting Just wasn't too impressed by the room Which had obviously seen better days. Pool on roof with a great view was a nice touch and breakfast had me set off for my journey in a good mood. Would come again, Just Hope for a better room. PS: Collins at reception speaks English Really well and has been working at the hotel since it was built twenty years ago and is a great Welcome host

The location is perfect, a short walk to Lijiang old town and black dragon pool. The breakfast was good, and starts at 630, good for early birds like me. The laundry service is great, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The only thing that could be improved is the room service menu. There’s a small English menu and a bigger Chinese menu. When I called to order a salad I was told there wasn’t any, and no English food only Chinese food. The only problem with that is the Chinese menu is only in Chinese. So I ordered wai mai.

You can sit there and rest if you have nothing to do. There is also a pool at the door of the first floor. The hotel is next to the south gate of the ancient city and shares a parking lot with the Intercontinental next door, making it easy to access. The environment of the public area is beautiful, and the decorations with various elements of the Ancient Tea Horse Road are very distinctive. Breakfast is a la carte + semi-buffet (you can pick up fruits and desserts by yourself). The small pot rice noodles are delicious. Of course, you can also choose to go to the InterContinental for breakfast. The front desk was very enthusiastic and helped us upgrade the room type. The staff we met during the period were very considerate and the stay was a good experience. The only drawback is that the room was still a little cold in March, and the air conditioner was not warm enough even if it was turned on at nearly 30 degrees. The guy who took us into the room seemed to say that if it was cold, we could ask for a heater or something, but I was really too lazy to bother.

One of my favourite Intercon accommodation! The location is very ideal, the compound is beautiful with nice landscaping. You could relax just walking around the hotel compound. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, toiletries could be more wide ranging. I didn’t try the food as breakfast wasn’t included in the price but there are many good options outside of the hotel. Most importantly, the service of the staff here is amazing! I want to thank this lady (I didn’t get her name) at the reception who referred me to the concierge for the booking of the tickets to the YuLong Snow mountain. The concierge, Nicholas Bun was really helpful with the booking of tickets, which has to be purchased at 8pm sharp, first come first serve. I didn’t have right app to do it so he helped us totally with it and even provided me with oxygen tank. Their service extended to beyond just their responsibility, stay here, you will get all the help you need!

Very pleasant stay, easy checkin and helpful, friendly staff offering me and upgrade on arrival. Breakfast was fine, although heavily Chinese style. Rooms very clean, and housekeeping did a great job each day. This was my first stay at an ATour chain hotel and I would happily do so again. Great location for Old Town and Heilongtan Park.

We have a wonderful time at Liqiang and Hampton by Hilton was situated slightly away from the Ancient city but it’s a nice walk over there in the evening. After spending time at the ancient city, we could take a taxi back and it’s very convenient. The room is clean and spacious and what impressed us is the hospitality of the front desk personnel. A special call out to Lisa who helped checked us in efficiently and referred us to the lady who helped arranged our trip to the Jade Dragon Snow mountain and the Liqiang Impression performance. Otherwise, we would not be able to secure the tickets and had a seamless pickup, tour and return arrangement. Lisa also quickly offered a competitive room rate when we mentioned that we wanted to extend our stay. We are grateful for that. We also want to call out the wonderful service extended by the front desk manager, Linda who personally delivered a fruit platter to our room and checked whether everything was as expected. We can only say the service is exceptional and we decided to stay another night at Liqiang on our return trip from Shangri La. Linda helped arrange everything despite the late notice from us. Thank you very much for making our stay enjoyable. Will definitely recommend our friends and in fact when we return to Kunming, we may stay at the chain again. This stay has left us with a such pleasant experience.
