Was clean and tidy id definitely go again with my family next time.

Do you like puzzles? Then this is the place for you. The first puzzle is where the place actually is. We walked around Lille for an hour and a half trying to find the joint, only to discover the entrance is a door covered in graffiti. No sign, no nothing. Just a door. The second puzzle is how to get in that door. Doorbell? No. Reception to speak to? No. We had to call, and the person said to go to a hotel up the road to get the key. So we get ready to go up but wait, there’s more. The room isn’t ready yet. We were told it would be ready by 3 so we were relieved when we finally told it was ready at 5:30. Another puzzle? Sure. How to get to your room. There’s a single spiral staircase to get up and down. Only problem, no light. So we all got our phones out and headed on up. Rooms were actually a good size and would be decent if you could get over the strong smell of ***** and the shattered glass in the door that was covered up in sticky tape. Only thing going for it was the location. Five minute walk from the guts of town. But yeah probably wouldn’t stay here.

Check in was a nightmare as the lady who was supposed to meet us decided she couldn’t be bothered, so sent us off to find our own keys from another location. Cutlery in drawers was dirty and kitchen badly equipped. The wifi code was requested from the property but no one replied throughout our stay.

No smoke alarms in the property felt unsafe staying with children looks nice in pictures everywhere was grubby kitchen needed a good clean and bedroom had a radiator unattached to wall when travelling with kids this is very concerning! Couldnt sleep all night with the people Above bouncing round till after 3am Having to travel 3 flights of stairs with a pensioner shouls be mentioned on the booking information.

We stayed in Apartment 4 which, to our surprise was on the 5th floor! First, the positives. The apartment was clean. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were reasonably comfortable. Now the negatives. We were asked three times what time we would be arriving and responded three times to say 15.00. When we arrived we were told we would have to go back to a hotel who held the key for our apartment and they would give it to us. We walked back to the hotel with our suitcases picked up the key and returned to the apartment. It was then we discovered it was on the 5th floor and there is no lift! We climbed a spiral staircase with our suitcases which was extremely hazardous. Arrived at the apartment at about 15.30 to find the cleaner was still getting it ready! The cleaner left and we went out to explore. When we came back we discovered that there was no lighting on the top two flights of stairs so had to use our mobile phone lights to guide us! The photos on *********** were clearly taken when the apartment had been refurbished. It looks somewhat tired now. Vacuum cleaner stored in a bedroom corner, a bucket in the bottom of the wardrobe, very poor lighting, no full length mirrors all added to the ambience! The entrance hall from the street was decorated with graffiti and obstructed with high trolleys containing laundry. There were no instructions for the wifi, or anything else for that matter! Of particular concern is the lack of any fire safety instructions. There is no obvious fire escape route, no assembly point notifications or any notices other than a request for residents not to open the vents at the top of the staircase. This place is an accident waiting to happen and we cannot recommend it under any circumstances.

We stayed in apartment 4. The flat was not ready when we arrived despite having told the owner 3 times that we would be there at 3.30pm. This is not an apart hotel, we had to fetch the key from a hotel around the corner where they made it clear that they were in no way responsible for the apartment. It was on the 5th floor & could only be reached by a thin spiral staircase. There is no lift. The hallway from the street was full of graffiti and blocked with cages containing dirty laundry. The light on the stairs was broken and the owners did not reply to my request to change the bulb. This meant that we had to climb two flights of stairs (on the spiral staircase) using our phone torches. There were a number of lights in the apartment that didn’t work and there were no mirrors. If there had been a fire there would be no way out as there was no fire escape, the only exit would be down the pitch black spiral staircase. There were no instructions for the flat, fire evacuation, Wi-Fi etc. Frankly I did not feel safe staying there and would not recommend.
