"Room No. 36: All the staff were friendly. Day and night. Perfect location (right in front of the train station and less than 10 minutes walk from the different squares and Euralille). The room was sufficient for our stay in Lille. Super clean. Excellent bedding. Nickel heating. No view of the street (just an interior courtyard), which is perfect for a peaceful night's sleep except for a noise emanating from turbines or others (I don't know!) but that didn't bother me. The bathroom in our room is not very large and is not suitable for tall or heavy people. There was a little attention for our arrival (New Year), a kind word, good wishes and a small present. It was nice. Besides, I thank them again for this little attention because I did not know how to respond (no pen!) to the letter. The breakfast is more than sufficient and is frankly very good. The elevator is very narrow and small but sufficient. Please note: carpet in the room and in the corridors. To check for those with allergies!! In summary: 2-star hotel that deserves to be known. Honestly a very good 2 star +++++. A small 2 star"

"The hotel offers good value for money and the staff are generally attentive to feedback. However, I arrived to a room that hadn't been disinfected, as shown in the photo of the bedside table with traces of previous occupants. I went downstairs to inform them, and the receptionist came up to disinfect the key areas (door handles, light switches, bedside tables, etc.). Another issue: the windows don't open, making it impossible to ventilate the room, even though the staff claims there's a ventilation system. Unfortunately, it's not noticeable. Nevertheless, I remain convinced that this hotel is convenient despite everything."

"Comfortable hotel with young energetic people working there, check-in and check-out was simple and fast. Good WiFi, soft towels and big beds. I also got very lucky with the view, the building is one of tallest ones in the area so from the upper floors one can see the town. The breakfast is very variable: veggies, fruits, eggs, omelette, yoghurt, pastries (also pieces of gluten free bread is provided), coffee and juices - just a full buffet. Big bar in the evening. A big disadvantage: all the floors (rooms, elevators, corridors) are decorated with the thick carpets. If you have allergies on dust, it’s a torture."

"Quiet and cozy, this charming old house has been refurbished into a beautiful hotel! Room was petit but bathroom was a good size. Bed and bedding were very comfortable and we enjoyed a solid sleep. Floors are bit creeky but that adds to the old house experience! Staff are outstanding and it was spotless. Another big bonus is the ten minute walk to the train station!"

"Convenient location, right across from the Lille-Europe station and close to the main subway station and the city center. There is a Carrefour market in the Westfield shopping mall across from the hotel, which was great. The hotel is a bit old though. There is an AC, but it is not strong, and I can only control weak to strong instead of exact temperature. I recommend this hotel for its convenient location."

"Great location in the heart of the old town with easy access to the city centre and also both train stations. Rooms are very clean, stylish and with lots of character. Hotel is quiet and well appointed. Most of all the staff are super helpful and friendly - special shout out goes to Maxim, who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable."

"What a beautiful hotel, oldie worldy & the aroma when you walk in is amazing, sort of sandalwood greetings & the ambience absolutely beautiful. However, I wanted room service, I could get the menu up on the QR code, I had to go downstairs & get one, totally defeats the point of wanting 'room service' which I was informed not 24/7 but, the 'chef' had pre-prepared food in a glass jar, the receptionist heated it up in a microwave & served it..nice! I've been home for two days and still waiting for the hotel to send someone to my room & fix the air-con/heater!! It was so cold I had to open the window to get some heat in!! Ridiculous, really for a "4 star" hotel the bathroom/toilet was disgusting, decor falling & holes in the walls etc. Not good enough by 4 star standards! Ashame really as it was lovely. Thank you for reading my rant!"
