It was a very comfy bed and a great location.....especially because we saw the start of the Tour de France : ) We tried the recommended restaurants and liked them very much.

Disappointing! Do not recommend. A most sterile/unappealing stay. Where do I begin? No warmth or hospitality. Cold ambience. (And I have no problem with a modern aesthetic.) Not a hotel, B&B or guest house as promoted by numerous online resources. No breakfast as promoted either. No reception or any human contact whatsoever. All key codes. No elevator, which was never mentioned and we were on 3rd floor. No one to assist with bags, questions, directions, etc. Breakfast was not included as advertised. Amenities were bare minimum. No safe. No safety lock on door. Not at all convenient to Lille sights. The list goes on… Bottomline: stay elsewhere.

This hotel is very good. There is no reception. Everything is done by entry codes. Code to get inside the hotel and a code to get into your room. Make sure you have this information before you arrive. No lift so not recommended for elderly people unless on ground floor. We only had breakfast once but it was very good. All clean and very quiet. The nearest cafe is about 15 mins walk.

Great 3-day weekend in Lille, thanks in particular to the Esplanade! We really appreciated the courteous and efficient welcome upon arrival from the owner, as well as the attention and efficiency of Joe who welcomed us every morning for breakfast. Hearty and good breakfast. The room was spacious, quiet, clean and very well equipped. There is no front desk but we had everything we needed, including recommendations for nearby restaurants. The building, a bourgeois family house, is well located and very secure, with nearby transport. Really nothing to complain about, especially since, wishing to have twin beds, the owner graciously had an additional (comfortable) bed installed in the bedroom next to the double bed.

The best quality/price ratio that I have ever seen. A high-class establishment where every detail is designed to strive for excellence. The rooms are very spacious, the equipment and materials are of high quality. This particular hotel is truly special in the good sense of the word. A must-see.

Établissement bien situé à 13 minutes à pied du centre ville, le parking aux alentours est facile. Les chambres sont grandes, confortables, bien chauffées et la literie est parfaite. La chambre que nous occupions ( duplex au 3ème étage SANS ASCENSEUR !! ) a l’avantage d’être très spacieuse mais la salle de douche ( grande douche à l’italienne) intégrée dans la chambre fait que même si la température de la chambre est agréable lorsque vous sortez de la douche ( dans laquelle il n’y a pas de miroir grossissant de courtoisie ) vous avez une sensation de froid qui n’est pas toujours confortable. La décoration est belle et les communs sont aussi propres et bien décorés. Le petit déjeuner est à 17€ et est servi dans une très belle salle spacieuse, il est copieux et varié, vous devez faire votre choix par écrit avant et vous aurez exactement ce que vous avez demandé, malheureusement pas de fruits frais, pas de miel mais pour le reste tout est bon, de qualité et en suffisance. L’accueil est professionnel et sympathique. Je recommande cet établissement.
