We stayed for a night. Had very noisy neighbors who were listening really loud music. Had to call reception twice until they managed to solve the issue. Kinda ruined our experience. Overall a nice hotel, but a bit of renovation needed.

The strand is a great hotel you know what I visit there probably 20 times from April to October And the very best thing is they listen to your challenges you may have I spoke to Siobhan the reception desk she always bright and bubbly first thing in the morning I said you know cleaning the toilets between 7/9 in the morning bad ideas trying to get guest on the bus on time and is not helpful as they have to go to there rooms guess what they stopped doing it She’s great always smiling and helping out So next challenge is parking cars I drive a 14 mtr coach Guys it’s not easy to turn when you allow your clients to park so I said to the young lady about it she said no problem I will bring it up at the next meeting she came out right there and then to check it out what a great service Any way alway high light is your hotel food amazing town just a few meters across the bridge Guys a business that listen to there clients is always going to succeed thanks always Julian Eirebus

I stayed at the Strand during a visit back to my old home town with my family and every aspect of the hotel was excellent! Check in by Antonio was welcoming and efficient and indeed all of the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is bright, well maintained and spacious and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel has a large comfortable lounge bar to relax in and a large restaurant where we enjoyed a very good dinner on the evening of our arrival. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever experienced in any hotel! The hotel itself is perfectly situated on the far side of Sarsfield Bridge within very easy walking range of the city and its main attractions. I can highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to visit the Shannonside area.

Friendly staff, easy check in and check out, and a family room that met our needs. Breakfast was extensive. I only wish we stayed more than one night.

We attended for an evening with the company we work with. Drinks reception was lovely with a couple singing in the background. The highlight was the dinner, turkey&ham, chestnut stuffing , cranberry and veg, it was beautiful, hot and no fat on the turkey, it came out covered in cloches and when everyone at the table had their plate the staff then lifted the cloches, a very well oiled machine in regard to serving delivery. Staff friendly and bar prices reasonable compared to another hotel in the area.

We had a great time there. Siobhain was very nice at the front desk. Very helpful and very informative. We really appreciated her. Worth it to go again just to see her smile again.

Always enjoy staying in the strand. Reception staff are always so welcoming, especially Antonio at the front desk! Food is lovely and the rooms are clean, spacious and the decor is up to date!

Hotel was conveniently located on the River Shannon and close to downtown, St. John's Cathedral, and other attractions. Bonus: Hook and Ladder for breakfast is a 10 minute walk from the hotel across the river.

Had a brilliant weekend at the Strand. Clodagh (booking us in) and Siobhain (checking us out) were just fantastic and made the entire experience memorable. Views of the city were stunning, staff were wonderful, rooms were great, parking was easy, and the bar was first class with one of the nicest toasted sandwiches I have ever had.
