Palace Inn & Suites

On Trip it showed that they had a spa and full service breakfast, the place offered neither of these things, we were informed by the staff that Trip.com was aware of this but kept it on the site anyway. We were very disappointed, and the walls in the bathroom and next to the refrigerator were very dirty.

Staff was friendly and the check in was smooth. Hotel was quite and located by a grocery store (walk-in distance) can see your vehicle from room. AC in room worked fine, rooms a little dated but for the price you beat it. Only neg was the pool was closed.

Wasn’t expecting much as I only needed a place to sleep while traveling down the coast but this place exceeded my expectations as the price I paid is lower than all other places by like 20 bucks or so and I believe I would get similar service and amenities at those other places. It’s an older facility for sure, and upon arrival, the lobby was unassuming, perhaps can be tidied up a little bit, but don’t let that deters you… keep reading! I was then warmly greeted by a very friendly gentleman behind the counter, check in was easy and he explains everything thoroughly. The room itself was spacious and clean, a little imperfections here and there, understandably, mostly due to wear and tear, but everything works and bed was comfortable. The room has a mini balcony with sliding door, a great way to enjoy a nice crisp morning air of Oregon coast. —Not to complain but just so you’re informed before deciding: internet is present but isn’t the best, they have 2 networks available one for each wing (approx. 16 rooms/floor, 8 on each “wing” and there are 3 floors, so… 24 rooms on each network), but still slow if you want to stream anything. Also to flush the toilet properly you’ll need to hold the lever for several seconds, it’s an older model I guess.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Really good location to get around the coast.

I liked the amputee greeter who entertained me for fifteen minutes when no one was there to check me in at four. I also liked the beautiful way he was maintaining the grounds around the parking areas. Better then staff!

JJ at the front counter was extremely helpful. He chose a room for us that was easy access from the elevator and away from families. As an older couple traveling alone access is necessary. He also found us a quiet room so we could rest after a stressful day. This motel is showing its age but it was clean and quiet. We appreciated having a place to stay when most motels were full because of power outages.
