Horrible basic hotel, a budget hotel with inflated prices. The staff were friendly and helpful but that cannot compensate for the small cramped room, uncomfortable mattress, too few pillows, the noise from other rooms, and the lack of room facilities. No kettle or tea or coffee making facilities, no bottled water, not even a glass for tap water. The towels were small, worn, thin and scratchy and only one bath towel supplied when the room was booked for two (corrected on request). The shower was good but impossible to keep the water contained and the floor was dangerously slippery when wet (lack of towels/bathmat did not help in this respect). One night was quite enough. The hotel management would do better to actually provide decent facilities instead of nonseniscal arty decoration. Breakfast was not included. The hotel reminded me of a hostel, cramped, narrow corridors, tiny lifts, and built of shoddy materials.

Arrived home this morning after 3 nights at Ibis Styles Lisboa Centro Marques de Pompai. Perfect location for seeing the City. Friendly staff, clean rooms, no noise, great selection of food at breakfast including scrambled eggs and bacon, quite the opposite from some reviews I read before I went. But Raul at the bar definitely needs a holiday. Highly recommended.
