An amazing stay in a beautiful hotel. The relaxing atmosphere was perfect after a busy day exploring. Can’t thank the staff enough for their excellent service! The breakfast was generous and delicious.

This hotel should not be rated as 5 stars. Ctrip is definitely misleading! ! ! Almost 3 stars for grade and 4 stars for service. There are no stars for this hotel on ***********. It can only be regarded as a boutique hotel.
The room is indeed quite large and beautifully decorated, full of palace style. However, the main entrance of the hotel is on a hillside. You need to walk up the steps and pass by a row of trash cans. (Picture 1-3) Then, there is no elevator in the hotel. You have to take the stairs. There are only about 6 or 7 suites in the entire hotel. It is very small and does not have facilities such as gym and swimming pool.
The service is very good. The waiter will help carry your luggage to your room. Breakfast is also prepared by the waiter, one for each person. It includes freshly squeezed juice of the day, a variety of bread, cheese, ham, eggs and yogurt. It is quite exquisite. , you can refill if you don’t have enough, but it’s not like a big hotel buffet.
In general, it is not up to 5-star standards. If you are looking forward to the supporting facilities and facilities of a 5-star hotel like us, you must not choose this hotel. If you want to experience a palace-style room, you can choose it.

It's really unimaginably beautiful. I'm grateful that this hotel is in the Alpha district and on the mountain. Not convenient at all. And there aren’t many reviews online. However, it is a converted old house built in the 17th century. It's really a profit. And the antique feel is dizzying. The butler-like waiters directly make me want to stay longer@@

Consider it a upgraded bed and breakfast An early 1900's house that was designed to look like a Palace. ( and it did) Now huge rooms . Ours had balcony overlooking the river. Very nice cooked breakfast in am. Do not get intimidated by entry. ( just a door up a staircase that you have to ring a doorbell) Staff at hotel are there to help with luggage ) After reservation, they offered a private pick up at airport for 40 euros , which is probably a good idea since a little hard to find . ( Not for the friendly driver however) Diffidently recommend , especially if you are up for something a little different.

The hotel is magnificent in every way possible. Do not be put off by the initial appearance of the block it is on- The hotel is initially a bit difficult to find- set back a bit and up a flight of stairs, but the old world appearance and charm of the hotel is unparalleled. For a small hotel; 6 rooms/suites; the number of staff members, and their attention to service, is exceptional. In particular, staff member, Akshay, went out of his way to be exceptionally helpful. The breakfast served in their luxurious dining area, was as good as I've ever tasted. Though we travel a good deal, I have never taken the time to write a review before. Palacete Chafariz D'El Rei is a must for anyone desirous of old world charm and luxury.

Vriendelijk onthaal en een prachtig kleinschalig hotel. Wij hadden een hele grote kamer die bestond uit 3 verdiepingen met helemaal bovenaan een zonneterras en uitzicht op de stad. Zalige douche en prachtige ontbijtruimte (zowel binnen als buiten).
