Alfama Yellow House

Bien situado, en un barrio muy acogedor. Cerca de muchos lugares que visitar. Cerca está el Castillo de San Jorge y varios miradores. Por allí pasa el tram más antiguo, el 28. Su dueño fue muy atento en todo momento con nosotros.

Alfama Yellow House - Blue Studio (52) is a cozy studio in a small house in the middle of the old Alfama district among the locals. It is small but super nice, everything you need is there, and the box spring was great. The shower was nice and warm, the kitchen equipped with everything you need. The house is noisy, but that is not a downside at all, you experience the charm of this neighborhood. And it is quiet at night, not many cars drive by, because it is a small, narrow street. We just sat on the front steps in the afternoon with a cup of coffee. Really so much fun! Manuel the front host is a super friendly nice young man, who is very enthusiastic and really gives you a warm welcome. We had a wonderful weekend in this studio, and if we go to Lisbon again we will definitely book here again. The famous tram 28 passes nearby, a mini market is a 10-minute walk away. Restaurants are all in the area.

We got the blue house, the ground floor. At the entrance the door was ridiculously narrow, be careful if there are elderly or handicapped people, in which the door did not close properly due to the humidity of the wood and had to be forced. It was a hole with no ventilation, unless you opened the door to the street. You could hear absolutely everything on the street. Right next to the door there was a downspout, and it rained on us two nights, without sleeping a wink because you could hear the clonk clonk, of the water as if it were inside the room. In the room there was a closet on the wall that could not be opened, there was a high window that could only be opened with a ladder that they had behind the door... In the room the wifi did not work and zero coverage and incredible humidity !! There was fungus on the wall!! The bathroom...cleanliness was very poor. Smell of sewage, mold in the shower... and dead mosquitoes on the wall... we stayed 4 nights and only had 2 towels. And a roll and a half of paper for 5 days... The only good thing is that it is in the heart of Alfama, next to tram 28. And the center is about 15 minutes walk away. For the price you pay, very expensive. I do not recommend it.
