Good location, but room is too small

The property in general was very good, the check in was excruciatingly slow even though I checked in on line 24 hrs earlier as requested by the hotel, the lifts were slow and could be hard to get hold of. However there were more positive things, the breakfast was good, the staff were efficient and friendly, rooms were good, clean with free water and the location was good too

Shameful service!!! A elderly couple checked in to the hotel after a long trip from China. Surprise to them to hear from the concierge that they do not carry their luggage to the room!!! How can you call yourself a “Hotel” and be part of Pestana Group and can’t even provide a simple service to your elderly customers??? SHAME!!!

The hotel was in a good location and rooms were comfortable.

One of my worst hotel experiences anywhere in tue world. After not perfectly parking my car in the garage (my left where was 20 cm to the lettting of my place) at 6pm, I was woken up by reception at midnight and was told by a rude and mocking staff member called Baltasar that I would need to get out of bed, get dressed and go down to the garage to move the car and park it better. I asked why this was so urgent, and was told that it was because there was another car that couldn’t fit into the place next to mine; so they had parked it on a corner of the garage where it couldn’t absolutely stay overnight because the garbage men needed to come and pick up the trash. To my total dismay, when I got to the garage at 8 am the next day, the same car was parked in the same corner. I asked for the manager’s contact so I could complain and was told they were not authorized to share even his email; and that he was too busy because he was managing two hotels from the same group at the same time. Overall, a shame to hospitality . I will make sure never to book or recommend a pestana hotel again.

Great hotel just off the main avenue Room was good with a lovely walk in shower Staff were helpful but not a lot of information available for the surrounding area The Slang restaurant was really good and the staff in there were amazing I would happily visit here again
