Hotels Near Keukenhofbos ingang Duinhof in Lisse

This hotel pretends to be 4 stars, but the only thing that warrants giving a star is the size of the room. Everything else is dated, uncomfortable and not clean. There's cobwebs in the corners of the room, the heater in the bathroom is rusting and the shower has very low waterpressure and is mounted in an inconvenient way. Elderly people will have trouble getting into the shower as you'll have to climb into a baththub. The bathrooms were 'refurbished' by covering old bathroom tiles with some sort of vinyl wallpaper. You can still see the shape of the tiles through it. And you can see spots of mold or at least dirt on the edges of it.

The Hotel is very classic, but the stay was pleasant! The rooms are large and have a small terrace overlooking the sea. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable (the only flaw is the plastic curtain on the shower). We did not test the breakfast (to be paid separately). There is no possibility of parking your car for free and parking in the area is quite expensive! The agreement with the car park that they offered us was also expensive. Overall I would stay here again

Poor experience. We were traveling with two little children and we requested if possible to have the room ready as we arrived quite early (11 am) but the answer was no or you can wait 30 mins and pay a supplement. Reception team is very junior and they need more training, never a smile or a friendly approach, and the senior staff just hiding in the back office. We had a family room and they were not enough towels bath soap and there was any hairdryer, we had to come downstairs every time as no one was picking up the phone. The only special mention is for the food and beverage manager(Romina and another pregnant lady-sorry I didn’t get your name) super helpful and smiling, thanks. Location wise is very convenient if you have an early flight but there is so little around the hotel, you’ve to get the bus to find a restaurant Breakfast was ok but If you’re a coffee only breakfast person I would suggest the caffè macchiato in front of the hotel, great croissant So I would go back? Definitely not as I wasn’t feeling welcome

It was a very pleasant experience - staff is very friendly and supportive, atmosphere is welcoming, CORPUS museum is just in front and might be a great place to visit with children, breakfast is delicious, the absolute highlight of the breakfast is the Chef who made my omelette with a big smile :) room was not big but fits well for 3 guest - the bed and the sofa bed both were comfortable. Its a 3 but a 4/5 Star looking and feeling hotel for the price of 3. Pet friendly too ! 15 min from the AirPort : bus stop in 1 minute, so with everything (uber taxi bolt). They arrange you a private shuttle/taxi if you need that. They have just opened everything is new and modern. And looks and feels like that. Desing is amazing the staff and management is maybe the best i have met - they really into giving you a great experience and help you with everything (if u just stay for work or if you stay there for a longer time) The rooms, the hotel, all have a great desing, the food is healthy and the beer is great. I need to mention The COFFEE - i am an addict but i have to Tell that this hands down the best hotel coffee i had and i was in 100+ hotels. So the details are top notch and it matters. As i mentioned the staff is exceptional the management too, i was there for work 2 times and they just gave me an amazing experience. Absolutely recommended.

Stopped for breakfast before my appointment in Haarlem. Bus stops are directly before the hotel (you'll see grocerystore and a gas station) but you will need to walk to main traffic lights a few mminutes away (go to right when facing restaurant windows) and then turn left to get to main hotel entrance & parking - hotel is surrounded by a sort of moat. Thank you for the walking adventure Van der Valk😆 Once inside you can get to restaurant a floor above via escalator. Greeted by host - confusion over confirmmed reservation as it was not immediately visible. Quickly found and cleared up. My reservation was 08:30am on a Friday. Not really busy at this timme. Lots of window searing available. Huge windows so even if not directly seated ( on opposide across) you still have a ”window view”. Staff member clearing tables was off the bat -first to give greeting and friendly short banter. Breakfast buffet is unbelieavably i***ressive with a mmind boggling array: good coffees, juices, smmoothies and mmore than your standard buffet offerings. On top of this -fried eggs, omelets being prepared by cook station. Sparkling wine included if that is your thing. Sure is mmine!!! A fantastic deal for €18,50 per person! I was able to catch up with Anoushka -meeting & events staff!!! A wonderful and esteemed colleague - we worked together a few years back at a co***etiror hotel. So this in particular mmade mmy visit even mmore special! I can absolutely reccommend Restaurant Van der Valk in Haarlem as a goid deal for breakfast. As I go back and forth to Haarkem frequentky -I will mmake it a point to stop in mmore often - breakfat and lunch. Don't mmiss out!!!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Haarlem, a good 35-minute walk to the central square. There is very little around it in terms of shops or cafes or restaurants. So calling it ”Haarlem City” is a bit of a stretch! It is a 12-minute walk (through a nice residential area) to Bloemendaal train station, which makes it quite easy to get to Amsterdam. Haarlem's main train station is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and good size. But (and this is a big but!) the hotel was built right next to a big sports centre and if your room faces north it will block your window as it is literally in front of it. This is a really poor design choice, it makes affected rooms feel claustrophobic. This is something the hotel should make clear at the time of booking. Parking in front of the hotel costs 7.5 Euros per night. Given its non-central location, you would expect parking to be free. So mixed feelings overall. Nice and spacious rooms, but the issues I mentioned above detract from the overall experience and value for money.
