Has gone so far down hill it is at the bottom. Used to be good but sadly in desperate need of a refurb, care and attention and more staff.

Fantastic people, great service, wonderful Liverpudlian humour, very clean room with facilities, bed was a little uncomfortable so didn't sleep very well, but other than that absolutely perfect.

Very good stay, hotel and staff were amazing, couldn't fault the food at all with a very good vegetarian selection, loved the old part of the building

Over the years I’ve stayed in lots of Premier Inns as you know what you’re getting. Inner city and rural one’s You know your room will be a reasonable size and it will be clean. There is always a restaurant attached or part of hotel which has a standard menu So what makes the Derby Lodge different from all the others ? Working away from home for weeks at a time could be isolating and quiet lonely That’s where it’s different staying at the Derby Lodge. The staff in the hotel and restaurant are fantastic . Getting a smile at silly o clock in the morning is always a good way to start your day ! A great team that premier inn should be proud of

Request top floor rooms if possible. I had an unfortunate stay with barely any sleep as I seemed to be unlucky and had a room underneath someone partying all night. Clomping on the floor from 11pm all the way till 5am. The front desk say there is nothing they can do. Even after phoning the front desk. I unfortunately did not get any sleep at all. It’s a shame, as the room was nice and clean. Check in staff were also very nice and helpful. Just very shocking that they won’t help overnight when guests cannot sleep due to noise above them. Either knock on the door and tell them to be quiet or offer me another room where the people above are not beyond obnoxious. Would have given a higher review but the fact that I received no sleep in a hotel that I paid £70 for one night in, I am very disappointed (and tired!!).

Lovely staff quiet right temp. Lovely breakfast in fab location with good views. Honestly. Although here for work I’ll be back! Crumbs I have to write more! It’s ace. Errrm it’s fab. Ermmm it’s clean and quiet and I need to go now and get on with my work!!
