The surrounding environment is beautiful. The hotel is backed by the Great Orme and faces the sea. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the train station, which is very convenient. The breakfast is good and the fruit is delicious. Good experience👍

This hotel has been a place we have been staying at for several years and have always recommended it to friends. This was our 1st visit since it has changed hands and it will sadly be our last visit. Whilst the staff were lovely and helpful, especially the 2 lovely lads on reception who have been there on our previous visits (the only reason I haven’t scored it a 1 star), the attention to detail and overall standards have dropped massively. We had the top family room which was dated, grubby and in places damaged. There was a hole in the bathroom wall, a massive dint in the bedroom wall, ripped headboards and peeling wallpaper. The breakfast rooms are badly organised and lacking in cleanliness. On our 1st morning breakfast we sat in the bay window and the window ledge inside was grubby and full of fly poo. The service area is in a corner and is absolute chaos. The toast machine is just stuffed at the bottom of the stairs in a corridor, with stacks of chairs and general untidiness surrounding it, the tables were cramped, it took an age to get butter sachets and clean cups after asking for them. It was quite honestly the worst breakfast experience I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. Parking is now an additional payment which made it feel like a bit of an extra instead of being included. The lovely social lounge areas have also been removed so sitting with a drink in an evening is now not really an option unless you want to sit in reception. We had visited with friends and I apologised to them for booking the hotel as this isn’t what we had come to expect. It seems to just want to ram as many people in as possible without enough staff to provide the care and attention to detail anymore. The Robbins family are definitely missed and made the hotel what it was, it now just feels like an impersonal, lack lustre, grubby hotel. I spoke to another couple, who like us had been regular visitors and they too said they wouldn’t be back due to the nose dive in standards.

Great breakfast, great location, lovely small sea view room, we were told we had a king size bed, but more like a double, also the shower tray was very slippery so could do with an anti slip mat or grab rail, little tired inside, but staff very friendly and we would return.

Lovely location and friendly staff on welcome desk. We were in a triple room on first floor, lovely spacious room however extremely heavy door to open and the lock had seen better days. We were then welcomed to a leak in the bathroom ceiling. On returning back from evening out we had no tv remote so stuck on one channel and unfortunately followed by one of the worst sleeps I’ve ever had in a hotel, extremely noisy with constant banging doors, then from 6am on a Sunday very loud talking from what can only be staff downstairs getting ready for breakfast. Shouting, singing Christmas carols in September, slamming doors and an annoying tapping on the window constantly. Breakfast I have to say was lovely, great portions annd fast friendly service. Unfortunately though won’t be coming back here but will certainly be back to Llandudno!

Great location on the seafront and lovely big breakfast! However we had a continuous leak in the bathroom, no remote for the TV and we were woken at 6am from banging doors and very loud staff directly underneath us. We were on the first floor and all we could hear was staff in and outside singing loud. Most noise I’ve heard in a hotel. Wont be returning.

Firstly a big thank you to Justin in advice as to where to park, which greatly eased our anxieties on arrival. Justin made us very welcome on check in and found our room to be quiet, comfortable and having all the facilities we needed. Being tall I particularly like the high shower which I've not even encountered in 4/5 star hotels! Evidence of great attention to hygiene, with the laminated hotel guide and TV remote, pristine clean and sealed in a plastic bag. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and was only spoilt by the very dry croissants. We shall certainly be back after such an enjoyable stay.

Very disappointed with this visit. I have stayed here many times over the last 10/12 years and only experienced the best ever welcome and customer service. Sadly since the hotel has new owners standards seemed to have slipped. On arrival we were told we should have booked a place on the car park, which we were not made aware of when making the booking. Our room had not been hoovered properly with what looked like crumbs from a sausage roll on the carpet. The 2 chairs in the room were absolutely filthy and in my mind fit for the tip. The cooked breakfast was OK, it was the fight you had to endure in order to get to the drinks machine and cereal bowls etc that was the problem. Very chaotic. The last straw was when we returned to our room after going out and found the door unlocked. Obviously staff had been in to leave clean cups and empty the bin but had failed to lock the door behind them. Really upset and disappointed to see a previously great place sadly lacking in every department.

It’s such a shame when you’ve visited a place so many times over the years and you’ve always been 1000% satisfied with everything from staff, cleanliness, food and customers service. To return not 12mths after it changes hands only to find the standard well and truly in a downwards spiral. Room carpet not properly hoovered, barely any customer service to speak of at all. New car parking arrangements that we had never been made aware of, and breakfast had become a major issue! No more waiter service apart from hot breakfast, which is fine…. But the self service part of it was all over the place, and putting the toast and bread machine at the bottom of a staircase is surely a health and safety concern. We are sorry to say we don’t know if we will ever visit again.

Hotel nice and car park is a bonus. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious, despite the actual breakfast room being very chaotic, not enough space. My only issue was a leak in my Aunties room. Due to the heavy rain , my Auntie and Uncle were woken at 7am with water pouring through the ceiling on to them in bed, soaking them and their clothes and shoes. They were moved to another room for a shower, which was fine and I understand these things happen. But when I emailed hotel asking if they considered a gesture be in order due to the disruption, it was ignored , I called the hotel and was told they would be in touch with my Auntie after speaking to head office and they never did. That was 2 months ago. Poor customer service , will not be returning

Returned here having had a great stay 4 years previous. What a change since then… and not for the better! Breakfast chaotic and whole hotel in need of good deep clean. Plenty of choice in Llandudno Lawton hotel needs to up their game to keep customers coming back Such a shame. Perfect location and great views

View=lovely. Room and cleanliness=lovely. However, overshadowed by breakfast chaos. Chef unable to poach eggs. Warm milk for breakfast which left us buying our own for us and our daughters’ needs. Coffee machine either poorly maintained or ruined by the off milk left to warm in big jugs. Lack of utensils/clean tables/ staff to take orders. The place really needs to look at breakfast pre-bookings so they can manage it better. Struggled one night with what seemed like a private party with music which eventually stopped after someone complained after 11.30. So infuriating as this place could be great if the basics were sorted. And please Llandudno council, do something about the incessant announcements from the boat trip company outside on the tannoy-every three minute announcement (yes, we timed it) completely ruining both the beach experience and stay at the hotel. Add to the competition the noise from Punch and Judy on loud speaker, I’m surprised I didn’t go mad

Bedroom a little small for a family room but comfortable and the view was amazing. Just a little disappointed with the breakfast as the eggs and bacon were covered in grease but on the whole the breakfast was good loved the fruit and yoghurt. Staff were amazing especially the main gentleman I believe he said his name was Leon.
