The environment is good, the breakfast is good, and the service is also…
The room size is okay, but the overall staircase is a bit old and there is no elevator, but it doesn't affect it. It's a different experience, which is not bad...

This was our second stay at this lovely, welcoming hotel, the first being just two months ago. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we decided to return fairly quickly. We weren’t disappointed. We booked the same deluxe room, Woodpecker, which was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff, without exception, were polite, helpful and friendly, from Housekeeping through to Management. The food was delicious, served beautifully and the dining room, especially the conservatory, a pleasure to sit in. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and are already making plans to return for a third visit. If only they could do something about the weather!!!

The hotel is located in a quiet rural location but ideally located for visiting the coastal north yorkshire resorts. Very friendly and helpful staff gave great service. Room was large and provided all the amenities expected, The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Would certainly stay again .

It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and obliging. The bed was large and extremely comfortable as was the room. The food was excellent along with service at meal times - and because my wife was ill one day - room service was quick and efficient. We are planning our next stay soon.

Lovely one night stay. Really good value for money with the offer of bed, breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lovely building, comfortable with nice ambience. Room was clean and comfortable and warm. Good shower and large bathroom. Only 2 small *******, no hot water in the bathroom, warm at best, apart from the shower which was hot and little choice for a vegetarian at dinner or for a cooked breakfast.

2 nights stay in a peaceful location. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Good value for money and would recommend. This hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with Whitby and Scarborough nearby. We will definitely go back.

A friend and I recently stayed in this hotel for dinner, breakfast and champagne afternoon tea, all of which were delicious. Our room was bright and spacious with large windows overlooking the lawn, which was edged by a wonderful variety of trees - a lovely view to wake up to. The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating and I recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Have stayed at Grinkle Park quite a few times; going back some years, and have never been disappointed nor let-down. The position of the hotel is first class, very quiet and peaceful. Our rooms have always been clean and ready for our occupation. Food is good with a very decent menus and drink selections. Staff are excellent, always friendly and ready to help. The quality of our stays has been continuously on the rise.
