Hostal la Numantina

Extremely clean. Comfortable room and bed. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Laundry was done for us for a small fee which was very much appreciated. Free hot drinks machine in reception area along wth a cold drinks fridge (pay at reception) ,which was very welcomed. Fabulous location in the heart of the city, right near the cathedral, bars, restraunts, shops and green areas.

We stayed one night at this hotel on the Camino de Santiago. We were welcomed very nicely by the receptionist who helped us complete all the necessary paperwork and we went online to register for some form of police registration. The room was clean and well appointed. The shower was okay. We had a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was at a nearby café and was a traditional Spanish breakfast. It was good. The hotel is based in the centre of town and is very convenient for bars and restaurants in the old town. A good stop off on the Camino de Santiago.

Stayed here twice during my camino, before and after I went to Bilbao. Awesome location near the major sites and Calle del Laurel (known for its tapas bars). Loved the vibe at the reception area, and the receptionist was very nice and helpful; she even printed my Correos envelope for free. My first room was the perfect size for one person and was nice, bright, and clean; the bathroom was also spotless. The only problem was that the wifi could not be detected from the room. My second stay was better, wifi signal was strong and I was placed in a bigger room. However, it was a weekend so the noise from Calle del Laurel could be heard through the closed windows.

One to come back to We had a fantastic stay. The hostal was conveniently located. The staff was superb and quick to act on requests made. Hats off to the very responsive staff who made our stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended.

Designated as our stopover on a tour of the north of Spainthis is a basic hostal - in a good central position for walk and near the river Ebro which runs through the town. Though some way through a renovation process with work in progress the rooms were clan and not too small for a single person. Rooms have TV and basic facilities and the shower OK though mssing the attachment for the head meant I had to hold while showering. My bed was 2 singles opushed together but made up as singles so I had to remake as they were short for me. Reception has free coffee and tea making and the staff are friendly though I was disappointed when the commitment to fix the shower was not fulfilled.

They advertised AC, but it didn’t work. We had to keep the window open to cool the room and the street lights lite the whole room along with all of the street noise.

It’s a nice basic place to stay and it is reasonably priced.
