I very much warn AGAINST booking at this hotel and want to share my experience with Selong Selo on here to spare others the nightmare we experienced: This hotel essentially took our money and made it impossible to get a refund or rebooking. We had booked a stay at Selong Selo for 2020 - unfortunately Indonesia stopped tourism entries due to Covid and we were stuck discussing back and forth with the hotel, about what to do with our reservation. The first thing we realized was that communication with this hotel is extremely slow and difficult, since very single time someone new responded in what I would deem pretty bad English. Since 2020 we have sent countless emails (many left unanswered) and two years later are yet to get a refund or rebooking for our prepaid reservation of 1.500€. In this time Selong Selo staff has given us the hardest time I have ever experienced with any hotel during Covid: They set absurd deadlines for rebookings (essentially asking us to travel when there were no flights to Indonesia), downgraded the villa category we booked and then took days off our booking in case we rebooked. To be honest we don’t really see how we will get our money back and all this feels like a scam through and through. My verdict is this: Should something go wrong, you are stuck with this hotel and will lose your money. There are plenty of professional hotels in Lombok, so steer clear of Selong Selo!

We were 4 nights in the Tropic Resort in the Villa Susan with outdoor pool and outdoor whirlpool and we were absolutely enthusiastic. Location: The Resort is 2 minutes drive from the dreamy beach Selong Belanak. There is a free shuttle service to the beach. The resort is perfectly suited for resters. There are a few very good restaurants in the surroundings of other hotels, where the restaurant of the villa is also excellent. Whoever wants to have more trouble one day can drive about 30 minutes to Kuta. There you can also find bigger supermarkets and an active nightlife. To the villa: The villa is luxurious furnished and offers an outdoor pool and heated outdoor whirlpool a free bathtub a rain shower. The villa is absolutely new and in a top condition. The pool area is not visible from the outside and you enjoy 100% privacy. You have as many useful extras as an outdoor grill, a cozy gas fire, speaker that can be connected to your phone, ice cuff donor, side by side refrigerator, etc. To service: The service was the absolute highlight at our stay. We felt so welcome and well-released. Each individual staff was constantly trying to satisfy us. There is a WhatsApp group where you can order e.g. food or report concerns. The reaction time was less than 5 minutes. We have been traveling in Indonesia for 3 weeks and had several accommodation but here the service was simply the best !

Hotel location is very good. Near Mataram Mall and eateries. Breakfast is also good. Room is big with fridge n good wifi connection.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 2 nights (wished it was bit longer). Rooms were clean and tidy. The staffs were friendly & attentive from the receptionists, wait staffs & housekeepers. Love the breakfast spread; plenty of variety. Will definitely be back here again in the near future!

But the problem is that the location is too remote. The first day the customer drove me to the hotel, I went the wrong way, and then there was no hotel in Fangyuanli. Location: From the airport 1 hour - 1 hour and a half hours on the mountain, you can Grab yourself, or let the hotel arrange a transfer. Environment: Super beautiful resort, the hotel is especially beautiful, the pool is very good. The room is large, the design is very warm, the bed is very comfortable, especially the design of the balcony, the view and leisure. Service: Very, very good, very welcoming, responsive. In the evening, I accidentally locked the locker room door, and immediately there were employees coming to help. Meals: The breakfast is very good and the lunch is OK. Dinner is by the sea, listening to the waves blowing the sea breeze, eating something different from the day, and the dessert is also delicious. After eating, you can sit on the beach rocking chair and feel the quiet world of two people. Private beach: the water is very mixed, you can't snorkel, you can walk along the beach. Hygiene: The only thing missing here is the stain on the quilt and the bathrobe. Call the front desk and come over and change. WIFI: Very stable. PS: There is no service phone marked on the phone. Dial 0. The staff of the hotel is not as good as the English in Bali, so don't worry, just let it be clear.

One of the best hotel options that you can choose in Senggigi. The hotel is spacious and lovely, the hotel staff are super friendly and helpful, the check-in process also fast. The hotel has the amenities and facilities which you may need during your stay. The view is directly to the beach so it is very suitable for those who come to enjoy holidays alone, or with family or friends!

Took a 2 hr 20 mins direct Scoot flight from Singapore and then a 1.5 hr car ride to the resort. Booked a car directly from resort and driver was waiting outside after exiting the airport with resort name. We booked the family suite which was the premier suite and the premier room combined, it had a connecting door. Room was huge but no bathtub in either rooms. Separate shower and toilet. There’s also a outdoor shower but I think it’s only for the ground floor units. Comes with safe deposit, kettle and fridge. No ironing board. Their laundry is rather reasonable price. Beds were very comfortable and their air conditioning is cold. We had a few power shut downs but it was resumed very quickly in less than 20 secs. Nice beach but not suitable for swimming as the waves were huge. They have nice pools and sun decks. They have 2 restaurants serving Italian, western and Indonesia food. The Italian restaurant ‘Kliff’ is a must try. Superb food and quality at reasonable prices. Book a table to watch the sunset with Bali island in view. Beautiful sunset. The resort have a spa and gym as well. Tried the spa, prices were very reasonable and cheaper than Bali. Booked their snorkelling trips to the Gili islands and it was awesome! Gili Nanggu was our fav. Will definitely come again, Lombok is more laid back and without the Bali crowds. Things were cheaper too. If you want a nice, relaxing, quiet and good prices, come to Lombok. If you prefer pubs, shopping and crowds, then go to Bali. There’s also public ferries connection between Bali and Lombok. It takes approx 2 hours. Most of them understand simple English and remembers our preference for coffee and how we like our eggs done.
