The Fitzrovia Belle Hotel

This was the worst stay at the property we have had. I phoned to make sure they had no building work going on before hand and was told that they definitely had not. What a surprise when we sure the outside and then our room. The carpet was heavy stained. The furniture was worst for wear. But having workmen the other side of your bedroom window was terrible. The tenant was very rude when we asked for a refund and did not want to know. Booking. com also did not want to know about the problem.

This looks like a proper pub from the outside but it’s really (as another reviewer put it) more of a cafeteria. The room is either one or two very narrow and steep flights of stairs up - so beware if you have heavy luggage. The stairs have a bad smell. The good thing is the bathroom which is refurbished. The room however is very run down. The radiator was not working (end of Dec) but fortunately there was a portable electrical radiator. It’s good that breakfast is included but unfortunately it was quite unedible with frozen hash browns from the supermarket and raw grilled tomatoes. Staff was very friendly but unattentive (very cumbersome to get the key that you had to turn in every time you left). But mostly it’s just not worth the very steep price.

Rooms are small but comfortable. However I expected the pub above which they were to have the charm and looks of an old, traditional London pub; instead it looked like a cafeteria, with a menu to match! As for the hotel service, it was inexistant. I didn’t expect a true hotel, but, considering the concept, I expected a nice, warm atmosphere. Not only wasn’t it the case, but the pub staff was not truly helpful — or truly competent.

Nice place and nice location. It was a good stay

Place is really nice, room was clean, lovely boutique hotel. Me and my friend stayed here 2 nights. Staff was very friendly, helpful went extra mile to accommodate us. We had fish and chips on Friday, portion was huge, fish was delicious fresh ! It's very close to tube station, close distance to Oxford street, Piccadilly. I would highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go back in the summer. THANK YOU

Cosy and friendly place with good staff would return

Great Central location, meant that we could get around to all the places we wanted to, including close to the Elizabeth Line so easy from the airport. Very comfortable and clean room, friendly staff. Also ate here, good burger. Have already booked again.
