Really can’t understand how this is classed as a 4star hotel. I stay in London roughly once a month for work, usually choosing a different neighbourhood to allow me to see more of the city, past my office walls. Of all the hotels I’ve stayed in in London, it’s by far the worst. Dated, dingy and drab! Yes the rooms come with a whirlpool bath but the bath was cracked and badly covered over and the thought of using the whirlpool feature made me feel physically sick as it didn’t look clean. Even basic things like the desk in the room being badly patched over, and the mirrors being all chipped away at, not to mention the lack of lift which isn’t ideal if you have luggage. The hotel could do with a serious investment to achieve the so called 4 star rating it has. It just felt dirty and gave me the ick. I often choose independents over bigger chains as I love supporting small businesses but on this occasion, so wish I’d chosen a travelodge or premier inn over this accommodation.
