Very distinctive small hotel. The building has a history of more than 300 years, and there are many paintings, books, and carefully arranged decorative corners. The front desk is enthusiastic. The rooms are well furnished according to the original structure, old but tasteful. Come out of the theater at night and walk for 4 minutes. It is recommended to stay.

A time warp, really, like steeping back into the Regency era. Generally speaking the place was a tad dilapidated, theadbare, but that´s part of charm(sort of).Extremely nice staff, the only negative thing I can think of is, that the closed circuit wiring in our room wouldn´t have been out of place in a certain TV comedy series from the 1970s, starring John Cleese: the bed side lamps couldn´t be operated from the bed. The bank of switches for the whole room was/is absurd, you push one button and the light in the bath room turns on, but when the big chandelier in the ceiling lights up, the bed side lamps die. And so on...It also transpired, that our mobile phones couldn´t be charged overnight without the chandelier jumping to life at the same time, ie. third degree light all night long! The nice gentleman who came to fix the mess, shook his head, apologised, left and...reurned with two bed side lamps, both operational from the bed. I´ll definitely return at some point, bringing a miner´s headlamp, just to be on the safe side...

We were both excited to stay at Hazlitts due to its historical nature. The building and rooms are beautiful. The initial welcome and ambience is slightly cold and lacking in a**osphere. The staff were efficient, although slightly lacking in personality and conversation. The breakfast was nice and efficiently brought to your room at the correct time. Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room was rather odd, considering the size of the mini bar. I understand you can order these at a cost, however convenience and choosing the strength of your tea and coffee are important elements for me and my wife. Overall a well situated, beautiful hotel, however in my opinion certain elements could be easily improved.

This hotel gave me the best experience I ever had , So peaceful I could spend days reading those books drinking english black tea and looking through the window to classic London I was in 1930s . I already miss it

Unbeatable location in the center of Soho. Small charming hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff, very informal. However the room layout hasn't changed since the 18th century.. TV awkwardly placed at an angle on the wall where you can't watch it properly. Lack of plug points - only two in the room and very hard to reach. Worst of all for me was the noise - every time a door shut in the hallway my room shook, and the noise was deafening.. I was on the 5th floor with luggage - but there is no lift..

Have to say this is one of the nicest boutique hotels I have stayed in. Considering its location the prize point was excellent. There is no central dining or bar that I noticed, but are some open seating areas to relax. Breakfast was served to the room and was really nice with a good selection. I can guarantee I will be back

Really disappointing hotel for the price of £329. Felt very basic for how luxuriously it is positioned. Plus points Staff lovely, location great, beautiful older features / decor and bed comfy. but…Negative points. Minimal modern amenities you’d expect for the price. I booked the room earlier in the year and was £379 only to find same room on the same website for £329 the week before. It is a very old building but the stairs are a bit precarious. Rooms boiling with no real control. When I turned down aircon style control, room stayed boiling hot from radiator. No actual shower but a handheld telephone style shower in the bath with no screen - this is poor in this day and age. No bottled water in room as courtesy and had to get bottle from mini bar that was chargeable. Cmon that’s not hospitality for that price. Room really tight and have to squeeze past bed to get to bathroom No iron / ironing board in room. Won’t go back but wanted to share so that people book it in the knowledge if they did want to book it.

One stay at Hazlitt's left me wondering why I'd ever consider a big chain hotel ever again. Simply put, the experience at this hotel was flawless. - The location is ideal, being in the midst of Soho and surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, theatres, shopping. Despite being so close to all there is to see and do in the surrounding area, we never found ourselves bothered by any street noise. Hazlitt's is a quick, short, and pleasant walk ( <10 mins, really) to Tottenham Court tube station, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, and countless other places, while also being a refuge and oasis from all of the hustle and bustle of popular sights like those. - We stayed in the Teresa Cornelys suite, which was a wonderful place to call home for our several nights at Hazlitt's. The room was spacious, with a large bedroom, sitting room, and massive bathroom upstairs. As is the theme throughout the hotel, the room was packed full of antique and period decor that made it all charmingly eccentric and gave the room wonderful personality. The bed was a bit outrageous, but in a way that just worked for the whole room (and it was also, most importantly, very comfortable!). And the bathroom? Only the included photo will do it justice. I've not stopped recommending Hazlitt's to every friend and family member who's traveled to London since, and am thoroughly looking forward to my next stay.
