Check in was easy, as was the parking, although parking is no longer free. The hotel is 2 minutes from a DLR station making it easy to get to the centre of London. The hotel is also a 15/20 minute walk to Canary Wharf. The room itself is clean, has tea and coffee making facilities. There is no tv in the rooms in keeping with the nature of the hotel. Breakfast was good, it was continental style but lots of choice including gluten free options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

This isn’t your normal hotel. It’s a serene religious retreat that houses an old Chapel and provides the rooms on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Since it’s not a normal hotel, you’ll not have the amenities like room service. But you get a lot of benefits that you don’t get in a hotel. Rooms which are larger than normal London rooms. Parking (not free, payment using mobile) in a protected compound. Good free continental breakfast. Polite service. Peaceful and serene location, which you can’t believe is in London. A historical location with hundreds of years of history associated with it. Overall it’s a great place to stay.

Because I was eating near Queen Mary, I opened Ctrip and searched for the nearest hotel after ten o'clock in the evening. I saw that the reviews were pretty good, and the hotel's "cheating" was also good. The price of more than 1,400 is neither expensive nor cheap in London, so I just drove there. I went there, and it turned out to be a big surprise. First of all, when we walked into the hotel, the staff were very nice. They talked and laughed with us and greeted our baby, which made us feel very happy. There is a small book bar downstairs in the hotel and a small garden in the back. At that time, I thought this small hotel was very comfortable. However, when we walked into the room, the thunderstorm started. After entering, we found that the windows of the room were all open, and then we heard the sound of cars on the road, and after a while there was the sound of trains. I went to Once the window is opened, it is really on the side of the road...it will be impossible to sleep with the window open. The weather in London has been hot recently, and it feels stuffy even if the windows are closed, so I turned on the air conditioner. It turned out that the air conditioner was too old and made a lot of noise when it was turned on. There is definitely no way to sleep in this room at this point. Since it was too late and there was no staff downstairs, I first tried to see if I could fall asleep. I endured it until about two o'clock in the middle of the night. The room was too hot and I couldn't fall asleep. When I touched the child's back, he was covered in sweat and the sheets were wet. I really broke down and sent a message to Ctrip staff, but all they could do was contact the agent. All the agent could do was contact the hotel, but there was no one at the front desk of the hotel, so nothing happened. I didn't sleep all night and had something to do in the morning, so I brewed all the coffee in the room and took it with me to stay awake. Ctrip reported that the hotel didn’t think there was anything wrong with what they did. Ctrip was willing to pay 150 RMB in compensation. It’s really funny. I’ll give you 150. Are you willing to suffer this? I made it very clear that I was not willing to pay a penny for this room. I could pay for breakfast. Although it was very simple, I ate it. But what the hell is this room? ! It also refreshed my knowledge. Is there such a hotel now? ? ? ! ! ! Don’t they know this room cannot be occupied? Giving me this room was just because I thought it was a Ctrip order and I thought Chinese people are easy to bully and discriminate against! ! !

Breakfast was great. Hotel is a bit hard to find at night and the room was smaller than the picture. Bathroom had a string attached to bulb, instead of a switch which was strange. Overall Very nice room and hotel staff were very nice and accommodating.

A green oasis in a busy city. I came for a retreat and stayed over, the night before hand. The room was compact, clean and comfortable. It looked over the garden and a very beautiful plane tree. Breakfast was a lovely continental style help yourself buffet. The yurt cafe was playing great music so in the evening I sat and had a drink there in glorious evening sunshine. Next visit I will try the pizzas. They looked great. The yurt cafe was very chill and lovely with an enthusiastic group of gardeners planting up planters. The retreat was well organised and thought provoking with space to be still and think. Refreshments were provided throughout the day. St Katherine's has many beautiful rooms to sit in and be quiet. Plus the garden and chapel were wonderful. I left feeling very calm. The staff were lovely.

The RFSK can be used simply as an affordable (London prices) hotel which is how we used it. We had the hedonistic motivation of a gig at the Troxy - a wonderful art deco venue (ex cinema presumably) just five or ten minutes away. However, it also provides a valuable community and spiritual hub. The buildings surround a large lawned area, with a carpet of snowdrops when we were there, and there are plenty of seating areas within the buildings to allow comfortable relaxation and reflection looking onto the gardens. There is a place of worship / church on site - we didn't see inside as we didn't want to disturb the ongoing activities but we could see an organ through the windows and it had views onto the green space. There are many meeting rooms available it seems and we saw various activities taking place which we presumed were of a spiritual nature. RFSK is also responsible for the Yurt Cafe which is nestled between RFSK and Limehouse DLR stop and provides a shortcut route when open. The cafe itself is wonderful with a creative space for children and dreamcatchers, feathers and the like. The food was great, full english breakfast was nicely presented and great paninis. The RFSK provides an extensive and fresh continental breakfast. It's worth noting that the room didn't have a TV - unusual for hotels but we never use the TV in hotel rooms. Also, it is amazing how fond of using their car horns are drivers in the area - maybe that's just London traffic...
