I was booked this hotel as a corporate work booking and once booked I took to Trip advisor and was extremely worried when I read the reviews. I got there after a train ride from Cardiff to Paddington and literally was a 5 minute walk from the station. I was met at the door and taken up to the office on the first floor. I filled in the paperwork, given my key and the password for the internet. I was given room number 15 which was on the 4th floor. The keys consist on your room key and also the front door key. I opened my door to a single room which for me was adequate for the one night I was staying. The view was facing the main road which was surprisingly quiet. The room had a single bed, 2 little cupboards, a microwave, kettle and a small corner rail to hang clothes. The bathroom had a big shower and was clean. The heating was on 5 and too hot for such a small room but I turned that down. I went out for the evening and you are close enough to Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Oxford Street etc, the only think is that when I returned at 11pm, the lady in the room next to me was talking so loudly on the phone you could hear it all! All in all I was happy with the room, I checked out by leaving my key on the side at around 7.30am, breakfast was not included on my booking so can’t comment on this.

Falsely advertised as a 3 star Hotel, worse than a youth hostel that is in horror films... No elevator, No AC, No air in the tiny room. Tiny single bed with no place to stay and very hot. Bad service. Left after a fee hour before midnight of the first day, only arrived at 23:00. Was not refunded the money by the hotel although they took all upfront.

One of the most dire hotels I have stayed in and the worst value for money as it was both expensive and atrocious. The only word for this place is squalid. There was a four floor climb to our unheated room. Dirty carpets, light over basin in bathroom that did not work (pullcord was trapped within light housing). There was no heat when it was zero degrees outside. The place appears to be a fire trap. Not sure how one would get out. Window was sealed shut and not double glazed. The response we received to our complaint on the heating was firstly "we shall turn it on" and then "it doesnt work, we will call the plumber Monday" to which we responded we would have left by then. Frankly it appeared they wanted to keep the energy costs down (to zero) by not turning on the heating. There was no bedside table and no rack to put the suitcase on. The only floorspace was in the narrow entrance to the room so it was blocked by our suitcase having to lie there. There is NO breakfast so the photo on the front of this tripadvisor is deceptive. The towels were not changed but as the towelrack heater did not work, thus the towels stayed wet our whole stay. All this for £140 plus per night. A new low in dumpy Bayswater hotels.

Arrived at the hotel and told to phone a number on the door to be let in - no answer. Had to walk to their other hotel where we eventually stayed. Told at the check in that there would be no breakfast even though we had paid for this for both mornings. One room smelt of cigarettes, both rooms were dirty and appliances did not work. Reception was not helpful at all, had no clue what was going on. Would not recommend at all.

We have stayed in some basic and rough places but nowhere as awful as this disgusting 'hotel'. It was so dirty and offensive that we left after seeing the room and went elsewhere. Do not book this place, it should be condemned.

Firstly on entering your greeted by dirty carpets with flakes of paint on, to check in you go up one flight of stairs to a person sitting in a kiosk which smells of cigarettes where they take your money. We were traveling and booked the accommodation as 2 adults and a 2 year old. We were given a room in the highest part of the ‘ hotel’ up four flights of stairs. I asked didn’t you know we were a family booking he said yes but I gave your room away that was on the first floor. No financial compensation was offered and no alternative room was available. My daughter has a degenerative disc disorder and was in absolute pain walking up the stairs let alone helping me, a grandma, carrying the toddler and a pushchair. The room we referred to it ‘Harry potters cupboard’ it was big enough for one person definitely not a family of three. When sitting on the toilet it was uncomfortable as it leant forward and the wardrobe floor was also uneven as we had to open it to put the pushchair half in to try to move around the room and the chair would roll back. I just wish I had read the reviews before staying here.
