We enjoyed our one night stay at The Buxton. It was close to Spitalfields Market which we enjoyed visiting and it was an easy tube ride to the West End for the theatre. It was a good last minute find for a reasonable price in central London and the breakfast was excellent.

Stayed at The Buxton last weekend when in London for a family wedding. Super central location, food was amazing, service superb and room comfortable. Check in went really smoothly. Would highly recommend eating here as the food is divine.

Cute hotel. Very small rooms with no space/i.e. chair to put (our very small) luggage but for us this wasn't an issue. Also stairs, no elevator. Good exercise to climb to the 3rd floor :). Some noise from the street but not too much. No privacy in the toilet because of the glass door, you can hear everything to the room, so don't stay here with someone you're not very close with :). Breakfast ok, a bit varying level of service quality every morning (the first morning the waiter offered us mushrooms and avocado with the eggs florentine, the last morning the other waiter didn't offer anything extra and had to wait a looong time for the food). Also the first morning there was no avocado. All the waiters were not very familiar with the concept of gluten free food. There might be gluten (wheat/barley/rye flour) in other products than in wheat bread, too :) Warm (but not too) water in the shower. Very clean room. The power socket near the bed close to floor level wasn't working. Very small (one) garbage bin. Ok stay for a couple of nights.

Loved our stay here. Perfect location. Everyone working there was so nice and the service was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The room was small as expected but it was all we needed and at a great price and the roof garden was a lovely place to have a little sit for a bit. We were telling some friends about it and discovered they'd stayed there recently too and had the same thoughts!!

The Buxton ist ein unglaublich nettes, schönes Hotel/BB. Die Zimmer liegen über einem sehr schönen Pub, in dem man auch mittags und abends Kleinigkeiten essen kann. Die Zimmer sind klein aber schön ausgestattet, mit Nespresso Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher, TV, Fenster lassen sich öffnen. Was man wissen muss, ist dass das Bad wirklich sehr klein ist, aber für ein paar Tage geht es schon. Es gibt sehr wenige Ablagemöglichkeiten für das Gepäck im Zimmer, lediglich eine Garderobe mit ein paar Kleiderbügel, das muss man wissen. Die Zimmer (wir hatten 3) waren sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und sie machen morgens ein extrem leckeres Frühstück. Der Cappuccino ist so gut und auch die Tees sind sehr lecker, es ist loser Tee, keine Teebeutel. Das Frühstück wird auf Bestellung frisch zubereitet. Auf der Dachterrasse werden Kräuter etc angepflanzt, die in der Küche verwendet werden. Insgesamt hat uns auch der Nachhaltigkeitsgedanke des Pubs sehr gut gefallen. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder hierher kommen, wenn wir in London sein werden. Vielen Dank an das ganze Buxton Team. :)
