DO NOT BOOK HERE On arrival we were told two rooms we had booked and received confirmation for were not available and the hotel was fully booked. We were a group of 13 including a baby, infants and senior citizens. We had booked and paid for 5 rooms in August plus 2 others that they requested we paid for on arrival. The reservation totalled £825. We spent an hour in reception while the receptionist tried to locate our booking. Despite showing her the confirmation she was certain we didn't have a booking. She was most unconcerned an unhelpful to the point of being rude. After conversations with her manager and much activity on her computer no alternative accommodation or apology was offered. We then had to find another hotel and pay taxi fares to and fro. We were late for our event and consequently our weekend was ruined. The rooms that some of our group occupied were small and very noisy as they overlooked the High Street. In addition, entry to the rooms was by a narrow staircase. The next day the cleaning staff were waiting outside the rooms hours before the check out time. Overall a very poor experience. The hotel did reply to my email of complaint and apologised but that was little consolation for a ruined weekend away.

Room was small but adequate for short stay, generally clean and enough facilities for short stays. The customer service though was very poor. It clearly states on their welcome pack no smoking that incurs a £200 fine. On our last night the buildings smoke alarm was triggered due to other guests smoking. When we phoned for help they expected us to resolve the alarm problem. When this didn't work they sent a young employee who had no idea how to fix the issue. We had to stand out in the street for well over an hour whilst getting abused by the guests who caused the problem. We made complaints on the night to the employee and via email both of which have been ignored. Very poor customer service probably due to the fact we had to pay up front.

The photos are very well taken and therefore it is not clear that there is everything inside a room: bed, wardrobe and kitchen (inside a kind of closed wardrobe). There is no place to even sit and eat. I wrote an email to get more cutlery (do I pay for three and do I have two forks?) and they didn't even reply. The area is delightful and well served. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

Great location and service Before booking this I read several negative reports and was concerned. To our absolute surprise it turned out to be a gem. Located midway in West Hempstead Main Street 5 mins from the tube and across the road from bus stop and Thames Link , transport is a breeze. The Main Street is full of restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Tescos and Sainsbury’s as you exit hotel. The room is spotlessly clean, beautifully renovated and as spacious as one can expect for London. Serviced daily and great WiFi. The reception is in another building but no issue at all. The service we received at the front desk was outstanding. We stayed 7 nights and would highly recommend Nox II West Lane.

Excellent value for money. The only real criticism was the mattress being too firm. Clean and well furnished room, small but there was all the essentials. The location is also good, 5 minutes from the metro and the underground. Restaurants and Starbucks in the immediate vicinity, as well as a small supermarket.

People on the room above me seem to be having a little party - there was music and loud stomping until past midnight. When I called the receptionist, they said to go knock on their door. They said they couldn’t do anything for me. Poor isolation and poor customer service!

There is no receptionist at the hotel. you actually have to go down the road to check in and get your key. They dont tell you this in the confirmation email. Bear this in mind if you are arriving late at night. Rude receptionist Nice room but constant sound of drilling / machinery or something through the whole night so you wont get any sleep.

We are in the hotel at the moment and there is a steady noise from 8 pm till about midnight every noght..like a pump or heating..very annoying! Room is lovely and perfect for me and my son hotel is in great spot so close to tube and overground I would stay again just the noose is a minus.
