My teenage daughter and I stayed in room 12 for a week in March 2024. I chose Arosfa given the good reviews, fantastic location and the fact we could get 2 twin beds. We were not disappointed - the good reviews are all accurate…just remember, it’s an old house in the centre of London. Room: very clean, nice toiletries but room very very small, as expected for central London in historic house. If have a lot of heavy/big luggage (no lift), may be issue. Not a lot of storage for clothing, we kept most in our suitcases. Bathroom spacious enough (even for a teenager) but outlet only for shavers, so hairdryer (supplied, good quality) had to be used in room. Carpetting in room a bit worn, but I can imagine may be difficult to find time in busy tourist season to replace. The room is like a dorm room, no fridge, very basic, but beautiful view of Gower St and Waterstone building. Quiet at night, surprisingly, given it’s in heart of university area (which my daughter liked…lots of students on streets). The best things about the hotel are the location: we saw 3 shows in west end, and hotel is quite convenient to many theatres. Also multiple Tube stops nearby, Euston rail station, and very easy to Heathrow. We took Piccadilly line from LHR to Russell Sqr travelling in (no transferring lines but 15min walk in rain to hotel) and (because we were “experts”after 1wk) took Elizabeth line (from Tottenham Court Road) to LHR for return. I highly recommend taking Elizabeth line if you can manage walk to/from TCR. Lastly, the breakfast is top notch! We loved the full English breakfast but didn’t get it each day as it’s a lot of food! A few times, we just opted for buffet provided (fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereal, cheese/cold cuts); both options were enough to fuel us until dinner. Coffee made to order (latte, etc) also very good. A shout out to the lovely young women working in the breakfast room. They were friendly and welcoming. My daughter and I also liked the playlist/music in the breakfast room (trust me, some places play horrible music…). We had a lovely mom-daughter trip to London, and this hotel was ideal for our trip.
