The worst hotel on earth!!!! Please avoid this hotel at any cost . All looking good in the pictures but reality is different. Dirty room, torn curtains and stained, very old bed with dirty bedding! No safety at all ! Tiny bathroom where you can hardly move around! Nobody is bothered if you complain about anything, all they need is the money the rest they don’t care about ! I don’t understand how this hotel is on *********** or even allowed to have website! This should be banned, not safe at all.

Broken toilet x twice, no shower head on the shower, very small, tight rooms that are so hot in the summer, no air con. Dinning room much smaller then pic shows. GET THERE EARLY to get a seat. If there was a fire in the building, there is only one way out, down the stairs. The stairs are very steep with stair spindles missing, Dangerous for young children. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Location is very good and at first with the photos on the site all seemed well We were allocated a room on the sixth floor, there is no lift and the narrow badly carpeted staircase was a complete hazard…..this along with blocked open fire doors (which is criminal) on all floors, made us feel that safety was not a high priority here. The room was so narrow that it could only really be considered a single room the bed head obscured half of the window only one side of the bed accessible in the traditional manner the bathroom was so crammed that when one used the loo ones chin was in the handwash basin….nowhere in the shower to place soaps etc except the dirty floor. The plumbing was complete disaster; as far back as 1965 the UK standard was such that hot water taps be installed on the left! In fact all was shabby all the towels, sheets and curtains (the curtains were stained and torn) had seen much better days and their cleanliness doubtful. As was the rest of the room it hadn’t received a coat of paint in many years. Despite this we slept relatively well. The next day the breakfast was served in the basement the cheapest lowest quality items were on offer. We took our breakfast elsewhere for the rest of our stay. We visited London on our first day we returned in the evening and to our amazement our room had not been serviced…..on informing the receptionist we were asked why we wanted our room serviced. I had to raise my voice and insist that our room was serviced every day, just like real hotels do!

Quaint room with all of the essentials. Service was exceptional! The location is perfect if you wish to see all of the London tourist spots! The Paddington Underground station is 2-blocks from the hotel and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.

Oh, where to begin. The approach to the hotel is nice, but once you leave the street things rapidly go downhill. In order to get to reception you must enter the bowels of the building. The reception itself serves a dual purpose as a reception area and a package warehouse/distribution centre. The receptionist (not present) was friendly when he did come. GIven keys to our rooms we headed up the narrow carpeted staircase. By the time I got to the 2nd floor I was getting flashbacks to my student days in squalid Victorian flats. My colleagues room was on the 3rd floor. Mine was on the 4th floor. The stairs narrows to such an extent that I took the final flight sideways giving it my best crab. I do my usual check for the fire exit when I get to the top and final floor and to my disquiet the sign directs me back down the carpet-lined wooden death trap I'd just come up. Some had left the top floor landing window open and once I had skirted the bags of discarded rubbish I stuck my head out to confirm that I could escape across the roof tops if need be. My room was visually presentable but smelled like the inside of a fishmongers that had been locked and sealed for 6 months. I eventually worked out that this was due to a leak in the bathroom which pooled over half of the floor and led to the horrendous smell of damp. I was then faced with the conundrum of whether to keep the bathroom door shut and only enter the bathroom for as long as I could hold my breath or leave the bathroom door and room window open to try to freshen up the ensuite. I opted for the latter. On a positive note, my student-era flashbacks had been replaced with memories of backpacking in Soviet-era slums in Krakow in the early 90s. The following morning I realised the error of my strategy when I was assailed by the cigarette smoke coming in my bedroom window. My body was already running on a low oxygen setting due to my shallow breathing trying in vain overnight not to inhale too much mould-laden air and the presence of cigarette smoke tipped me over the waking threshold. It turns out that the open window on the top landing was not left open by chance, but that was where smokers on the top floors went for their morning ciggie with the smoke promptly deciding to re-enter the build via the adjacent (my) window. I decided to cheer myself up with breakfast in the formica cafeteria after going a couple of rounds with the rusty shower. I managed half a bowl of pre-Covid Bran flakes before admitting defeat and retreating. This from someone who is renowned as the family food hoover. I have even been known to enquire of the dog, "are you finished with this?". There are few foods so unappetizing that I am not prepared to give them a go. But somehow the Piccolino managed to gather them all in that room on that morning. I am very happy that I 'only' paid £140 for my single room, single night of London hell.

Colazione veramente pietosa.
