Although I wouldn't have had any negative comments to make, the fact that I got an executive room on the ground floor not a meter away from a concrete fence, with little to no natural light, prevents me from giving a higher rating. Staying 6 nights in a basement xamera where you can only open the window 10 cm and when you open it only the smells of ham and omelette from the kitchen penetrate is not a joy for anyone. Very good service, but we got a servants room. We didn't want to make any requests as I have no idea how the rooms are allocated. I thought if it's an older reservation you don't even get one of the most unpleasant rooms in the whole hotel. I will recommend the hotel, but only if they offer guarantees of decent accommodation from a light and airy perspective on a higher floor. And if you are claustrophobic surely living next to a concrete wall 1 meter away from the window without being able to see over the wall cannot be encouraged. The price paid, much higher for box/storage conditions. Really sorry, as the service and cleaning staff were impeccable, top 10 service. The room however was a 4. The lack of ventilation and natural light should be pointed out, as with any opera ticket where you are told either that you have no handles or that there is an angle that prevents visibility etc. I must say the location is terrific, close to all transport and Paddington Station. Good luck!
