Overall it's pretty good, the front desk is friendly. At first, there were blood stains on the bottom sheet, and then there was a piece of biscuit missing, and the window couldn't be opened. There were some surprises.

The hotel room is a bit small, but the location is very good. The rooms along the road are a little noisy, but it's okay. It's mainly driven by large motorcycles, and the cars are almost silent. There are many small restaurants around, not far from Hyde Park, and there is a very old church opposite.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a base for exploring London and couldn't recommend it more! We felt so comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff were so lovely - special mention to Alba, the guest experience manager for ensuring we always had everything we needed throughout our stay, and Jonathan on reception was also great! I loved the cosy, townhouse feel of this hotel and the beautiful William Moris inspired decor, the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in London!!

Noisy in the room upstairs. Very small family room, tiny bathroom. The hotel was making construction or renovations and we could not use the elevator. Easy acces to Underground only 2 blocks away.

For the price- not worth it. The bathroom had mold and the walls were very thin- we were unable to go to sleep until well past 2am due to so much noise. I would expect much better for almost $300 per night. The neighborhood is beautiful, we will be choosing a different hotel next visit.

Starting with the positive: The staff was amazing, very customer oriented and helpful. The facilities and overall room very clean. Located in a nice area and walking to many attractions was convenient. However, the room and in-room ammenities were disappointing. The room was too small for two singles sharing a King room. There was no room for our suitcases and had 1 drawer to share with minimal space to hand clothes up. The lighting was very dim and, no outlets in the bathroom which made getting ready to go out for dinner etc very challenging. We found ourselves "climbing over" each other to get dressed, dry our hair, do make up etc. Finally, staff did come in each day to make bed and provide clean towels but did not tidy, replace cups, coffee etc. Overall, nice hotel but not as comfortable accomodations as I would have expected and preferred.

Loved almost everything about this hotel. I was looking for a quaint boutique hotel when staying in London. The aesthetic of Meliá Kensington met our needs. Loved the convenient location of the property. Our room overlooked the street and beautiful old stone church. We even saw the horses on their way to the Changing of the Guard ceremony…at least I think that’s where they were headed. Free bottle of water ever day — nice touch. Slippers in the room was appreciated. Comfortable bed and linens. Only downfall of our stay was my souvenir bag which contained a bun from Sally Lunn’s in Bath; novelty candy purchased in Bath for my daughter; and an ornament I purchased at Stonehenge went missing?! I had all the items in the white shopping bag from Sally Lunn’s and the bag was placed on top of the table in our bedroom. The same table where the hotel places two glasses, bottle of water and remote for TV (photo). However, my bag and items disappeared. 😩 The items weren’t overly expensive. But I was pretty upset due to the sentimental value. I always dreamed of visiting Stonehenge and it’s our family tradition to purchase an ornament on our trips. Unfortunately, they don’t sell the ornament I purchased online (English Heritage Shop) — so I’ll never be able to replace it. 😢 The manager on duty was helpful in trying to locate the missing bag and items. Alas, it was never recovered. Travel Tip: watch where you store items if staying at this property. Seems housekeeping “mistakenly” disposed of my souvenir bag and its contents…even though it was left on TOP of table in room. 😡
