Decent cheap Victoria hotel. Clean sheets, bed, room etc. At the right price, great place to stay.

The environment of the hotel is extremely poor and does not match the photos at all. The hotel staff are very helpful, my luggage is very heavy, they are very friendly to help me carry it. The walls of the hotel are a bit old, and some rooms are very close to the door, which is a bit insecure, but the hotel breakfast is ok, and the location is relatively close to the subway station

The staff were so rude. They charge you to check in early (even 30mins) the booking made it seem like there was a small breakfast included but I was told it would be another £7.50 and the breakfast options I was emailed in advanced was “bagged breakfast with pastry, jams and a piece of fruit” or something like that. If that is £7.50 that is crazy! I was on the top floor and had to go up about 5 flights. In addition when I checked in (at check in time) there was cleaning supplies and laundry bags blocking the stairwell) The room was very small (and I’ve stayed in NYC). Most of these things wouldn’t have bothered me if I had gotten even a smile from the reception desk. But they looked so put off that I was there.
I honestly regret not pay a bit more for a real hotel. I thought this was going to be more like the traditional B&B’s spotted all over the UK, but it was just a rundown “hotel” that had rude staff!
