The Hotel was clean and we were staying prior to a meeting the next day. We had an excellent meal in the evening and were able to sit and watch the football and enjoy drinks in a lovely atmosphere. Vicky in particular looked after us exceptionally well

I stayed here in November 23 and couldn’t get any sleep man :( it was like a knock in shop, the landlady Sharon was having loud lock ins, taking the punters behind the bar & having it off with them plus taking coke, do not go here if you want a peaceful nights sleep :(

I had a bad experience at this pub. I usually go there because it's often not busy, but during my last visit, the person who claimed to be the manager was very rude. I arrived a bit early and decided to charge my phone while waiting for my friend. A woman nearby said I needed to buy a drink to cover the electricity cost. I said I would buy two drinks since I was waiting for someone. Surprisingly, she insisted that I needed permission to charge my phone, saying it's good manners. I was confused and asked why it was such a big deal. That's when she revealed she was the manager and accused me of being passive-aggressive 🤦‍♂️. I told her she was the one being passive-aggressive, and she asked me to leave. I was happy to leave because I didn't want to give my money to someone so arrogant. As I was leaving, my friend was coming in, and the woman kept saying we had to leave. I told her that now I understand why the pub is always empty. Besides the rude manager, the pub is not well-maintained, and there are broken sockets, which can be dangerous for customers. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. I would advise avoiding this pub if you want to have a good time with friends because customer service is not their strength.

What used to be a decent pub, it now has been run down to the ground. Terrible service, limited food choices, even the simplest coffee was awfully prepared, space looks dirty. They should not be allowed to be taking food reservations. What a shame.

There isn't a lot of choice for eating in this area but only visit this place if you are desperate. On our visit, it appeared to understaffed and those that were working seemed to be poorly trained and indifferent. Our order consisted of four burgers meals, when delivered, one was wrong and was returned, one was undercooked and couldn't be eaten. we finally got the last meal after the rest of our party was finished. the burgers had the consistency of granulated truck tyres. This level of catering is not acceptable and should not be tolerated. Either stick to serving beverages or sort out the catering.

We stayed for one night in The Warrington. The building is in the big, old traditional London pub style with some lovely architectural features. However, it is in desperate need of renovating with a dark, dismal staircase to our room that was grubby and shabby. We arrived early and wanted to store our baggage. It was stashed behind the bar ( in spite of advertising a baggage store ) and we felt uncomfortable leaving it there. Came back later, to put it in the room for peace of mind. We were told that if we arrived back late, that we had to access our room through the bin store and a dingy route up to our room. Not good ! On the positive side.....our room was clean in spite of the duvet being too small for the bed. The staff did their best to be helpful on arrival. ( Hence the "Poor" score.) On the morning that we left, no one was around to take our key or acknowledge us. There is no excuse for a dirty, untidy, disorganised hotel even if you haven't got the money to renovate. Will not return.

This is such an awful pub, which is a shame because the location and building are lovely. Horrible aggressive staff, who angrily yelled across the entire bar that they couldn’t serve food without a table number before admitting there weren’t any table numbers at all. Really long waits at the bar even when not busy as the staff seem inexperienced, are unsupervised and don’t seem to know what they are doing. If you get stuck behind someone who has ordered a cocktail you’ll be in for a seriously long wait! Though no other table had food, our small plates took an hour to arrive and were completely cold. Our server good naturedly chuckled about the cold food and said “yeah I thought you’d say that!” This was the same server who, on receiving a complaint about dirty wine glasses, argued back that they couldn’t be dirty as all the (plastic) glasses had been “steamed”. He then said they probably just looked dirty as they were plastic and really scratched. I ordered an aperol spritz. It was served in a plastic pint glass - there was about an inch of actual drink, and then 90% (no exaggeration) the glass was filled to the brim with fizzy water. It was a horrible drink badly served by the same angry American girl who was being so unnecessarily rude to all the customers trying to order. I live locally, but certainly won’t be back. Horrible staff, bad food, long wait times and rubbish quality drinks. Why bother? I can only assume that this pub is only still in business as it’s fairly near Lords Cricket Ground and gets busy with packs of really tedious drunk middle aged men after the matches.

I went to London for three days in March and stayed at the Warrington Hotel. We had a superb stay. Great welcome and a very nice spacious room, the same goes for the bathroom. We recommend this hotel and we will return.

Yesterday had a wake for a much loved local who died recently. Manager and staff were wonderful, and fabulous venue. Real sense of community, and celebration of a life was much appreciated by all who were there. Many thanks to the Allen family and the Warrington!
