Our annual anniversary visit, and as always didn't disappoint. Nice to see a couple of familiar faces among the (many) staff. Arrived early, so went to the Rivoli Bar for a delicious cocktail (and nibbles); then glided up to the restaurant, being amazed at the number of people having afternoon tea quite early in the day. Restaurant is spacious, peaceful and much quiet efficiency going on with the theatre of dining a bit part of the experience. Wish we could afford to go A La Carte, but 'deal' choices are excellent, and the surprise extras from the kitchen, and a small, excellent celebration cake, are so tasty. We left well satisfied. Spent (for us) a huge amount on drinks, but really added to the experience, os an investment! Made to feel very welcome from the front door and throughout our visit. There are clearly much more wealthy guests, but we didn't feel the poor relatives at all, thanks to the excellent staff. Can't really think of anything I'd change, although we used to enjoy the breads selection, but the soudough sharing loaf in recent years is an excellent replacement. Very much looking forward to our next visit.
