We enjoyed the afternoon tea, though we had a glass of wine in the bar prior. The whole experience was just wonderful and amazing. You get chaperoned to the bar on arrival with everyone greeting you. The service was just quite overwhelming and perfect. It’s so lovely to see the Art Nouveau decor retained and the high standards kept. The afternoon tea was incredible and exquisite. On the whole it was something we thoroughly enjoyed made only possible by the staff being so good! Thank you and we plan being back.

Training needed to your doorman at main entrance As soon as approached the main entrance of the hotel , without any acknowledgment, greetings or smile , the automated voice of doorman said : How Can I help you !? Absolutely acceptable and respected every establishments rules of dress code ( we were dressed very decent and expensive to satisfy ritz standards) how ever one small detail was missed , instead of evening shoes , sport shoes were on , which immediately triggered not well trained doorman to act and behave like a person who works at night club , but definitely not in 5 start Ritz in London Instead of saying : How can I Help you ? What on earth one can help me at the entrance of hotel who I wanted to book for our honeymoon weekend , the “ pleasant “ doorman could have said : “ my apologies gents but we do have dress code , etc etc etc , which would be totally acceptable Dear management of Ritz , please do train your front staff , how to handle welcome customer who can be or would be a potential guest at your hotel I gave a call to hotel operator to place the complaint, she kindly explained that we could enter to hotel to approach reception / concierge , but not use the outlets , which your doorman could explain the same Shame , expectations been different

What a shame over priced just because they are the ritz that what I was told but front desk on completion I did ask for a refund or anythink as it then comes across as that why you have completed but we had the afternoon tea and not again stay away from now on want deal with this again I was disappointed in service and food need to look at the chef and think hard about a change. Had better in a little hotel in a country side shame on yourself can't run a restaurant just of the name on the door take a good hard look at your self's and sort your self's out shocking. Not like me to leave a bad one but this was not a good experience at all
