Training needed to your doorman at main entrance As soon as approached the main entrance of the hotel , without any acknowledgment, greetings or smile , the automated voice of doorman said : How Can I help you !? Absolutely acceptable and respected every establishments rules of dress code ( we were dressed very decent and expensive to satisfy ritz standards) how ever one small detail was missed , instead of evening shoes , sport shoes were on , which immediately triggered not well trained doorman to act and behave like a person who works at night club , but definitely not in 5 start Ritz in London Instead of saying : How can I Help you ? What on earth one can help me at the entrance of hotel who I wanted to book for our honeymoon weekend , the “ pleasant “ doorman could have said : “ my apologies gents but we do have dress code , etc etc etc , which would be totally acceptable Dear management of Ritz , please do train your front staff , how to handle welcome customer who can be or would be a potential guest at your hotel I gave a call to hotel operator to place the complaint, she kindly explained that we could enter to hotel to approach reception / concierge , but not use the outlets , which your doorman could explain the same Shame , expectations been different
