I was really looking forward to staying here given some of the reviews (not on TA) that I had read about Chateau Denmark. Unfortunately, whilst there were some great aspects, the experience was pretty mixed and I won't be returning. The Good: - Amazing location, just beside Tottenham Ct Rd station; - Funky décor in several lovely old buildings. The Bad - Check-in was poor - even though I had completed the check-in online, I had to spend 10 mins providing ID, credit card, etc. - Breakfast was only from 9-10:30, according to reception, which is not helpful for anyone who starts the day earlier, so no breakfast for me; - There was no kettle or coffee in the room, which did manage to contain a full bar - there was also a charge for the bottled water (maybe offer one for free?) - I was a bit annoyed to receive an invoice for city tax later that day, which apparently had not been included in the price, but also not mentioned (this is a bit poor from a hotel that's meant to be all about the 'experience') - My room was also in a completely separate building, so all I've seen of the hotel is the reception and my room. Overall, I'm just not sure who this hotel is aimed at? Certainly not anyone staying for business and it's pretty chunky (~£350 a night) for your average tourist. I can only imagine that its targeting party animals who will book the room and then fill it with lots of people. I accept that I'm not probably the target market for this hotel, but my advice to management would be to genuinely focus on your guest's experience and improve the overall service.
