There is no lift so it is inconvenient when you have baggage.

Always the best place on transit. I was helped with my luggage by staff. Reception Staff always friendly as possible no matter what. Taxi ordered on time and I was able to make it to the airport for my check in. Proximity to tube stations and shops plus all the eateries make it a great place with decent prices. Always the beat place for a short stay or stop over.

It was dirty ,unwelcoming and I didn't know I had to pay a security deposit which I'm still waiting for it back.

Location, Location, Location! This is a wonderful, historical hotel in the heart of Kensington/Chelsea area! Service is warm, friendly and professional. The sheets are crisp, the water hot and the neighborhood has all the services you need, including the Tube and busses!

This was the most economical place available in South Kensington, nearly half the average price in the area. Rule number 1 is to take this point into account for the review and rating. My room was nice and big, had a window, two single beds made into a double, closet, locker, an iron and ironing board, fridge, desk and chair, bin, two side drawers, a coffee table and an armchair. Even had a double electric hob, which I didn’t try, so not sure if it was working. Now, the cleanliness wasn’t top notch, but for the price, I’d say it was pretty adequate. Especially, the toilet, wash basin, and shower room were very clean and I didn’t bother about the difficult to clean dusty areas, and was happy to get the exact value for money which I expected at the price I paid. It’s not soundproof, and you can hear the traffic in your room. The bed was a bit uncomfy, and the hotel can invest in some proper bedding such as duvets and bedsheets/covers. None bothered much when I returned just for my nap after a long work day followed by some beer. Hotel has WiFi, and I had no trouble with heating or hot water. Complementary toiletries were also provided and towels replaced everyday. Note that there are no lifts, so be very careful when taking luggage up and down the stairs. There is no porter, but try asking for help. Back to rule number 1: this place lived to my expectations; I have recommended to friends and family and would give them my business again (if they retain price and quality)

Mr. Harry is a perfect gentleman as he always says hi to me every morning, and he made me feel the hotel is like a warm home. The location is perfect and the room is very clean! All staff members are very nice & the hotel is very safe & secure. Highly recommended!!

I was initially sceptical after reading some of the reviews however the location was idle and I decided to take the risk. I must say it was a good one. Very good location considering proximity to tourist attractions and the Tube underground station "South Kensington" . The receptionist Harry was also so helpful.

Friendly staff, room was clean. Slightly shabby, but just in need of re decorating and the torn shredded flag outside doesn’t instil confidence initially! My son’s shower was cold unfortunately but we were warm & cosy. Bed very comfortable. Very convenient for the tube & Natural History Museum. Would definitely stay again, very reasonable price.
