Sonder the Henry

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband this past week and had a really pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the app where you can make requests such as extra towels etc is extremely handy One thing to note is the rooms down get cleaned unless you pay an additional fee during your stay. As we were only there 3 nights it was fine by us but not sure how that would suit people staying longer. The room itself was super tiny, like I was kind of shocked but I did read most London hotels have very small rooms as standard. It was however exceptionally clean and had a nice modern decor. The shower was also really nice and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside for me was the price as it was expensive but much less so than other hotels around & for such a safe and lovely area of London it was worth it. It was very close to Bayswater and Paddington tube stations and we felt very safe walking back to the hotel in the evenings. I would stay again

Our room was at the end of the hall on the fourth floor so I think it was one of the bigger ones. The bed was very comfortable and there is a small sitting area and lots of room. It was very walkable to Paddington station, which is where you would get the Heathrow Express to the Heathrow airport if you needed. It is located on a quiet, very safe street with a few restaurants just down the street.

Amazing experience at the Henry. Beautiful property. Spotlessly clean and staff were excellent. I read a few negative reviews before my trip. However if the reviewers had read the full information on the Sonder website they would have been equipped with all information they needed even down to room sizes. That is why myself and my wife booked a spacious Queen room. This room suited our needs perfectly. The property is close to all amenities including the fabulous Kensington gardens. 2 tube stations are close by to get you wherever you want to go. All in all a great experience. I would certainly use Sonder again.

Stayed here for five nights for business - it could have been a great stay if not for a few things that went wrong towards the end. I will start off with the good parts - The room was clean and while it was small, had everything you could need for a business trip: Good wifi, plenty of power outlets, an ironing board and a safe for valuables. I knew before arrival that this wasn't a hotel per se and there will be no daily cleaning, which I was fine with. Unfortunately, the power went out three times over the last two days of my stay. The first two times, the elevator and ac/heat went out. The third time, everything went out (lights, wifi, the works). The hotel's staff said each time that the outage was due to the "council", presumably to mean it affected the entire neighbourhood. However, the lights across the street were still on, which was odd. Sonder offered customer service through an app and while the person I chatted with said affected customers will be compensated, this would have to be "approved" by management with no clear indication of whether this would actually happen. The property has a cafe in the lobby that serves coffee and light meals but on my last morning there, it was staffed by only one employee taking the orders and making the coffee and food, which meant a long wait and backlog - not ideal when you are trying to get on your way. All in, I expected more for a property where I paid 200 pounds a night.

One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've been to in a while. Convenient location with a neighborhood feel. Sparkling water and coffee service were very nice. Ratings from others were true. Thank you Sonder!

Comfortable QUEEN bed and ample pillows. Room is large by London standards. We had 3 suitcases and a few large shopping bags lined up and had plenty of room to move around. A coffee pot with lids, a Hobbs kettle, an iron and board and a hairdryer were in the room. The bathroom is not large, but very functional with plenty of towels. They do not clean the room but you are welcome to get fresh towels at the front desk We had one big cleaning done mid week for £25. The front desk personnel were the most attentive and helpful we have ever experienced. There are large locked suitcase lockers if you arrive early and a cafe in the lobby for croissants and specialty coffees. The location is great! Nice quiet safe neighborhood with charming and delicious family owned restaurants: Greek (ask front desk), Italian (Bizzarro is delicious and charming) Indian (A taste of India) all A plus for food and a**osphere. Paddington is a four block straight walk, but no problem getting Uber here. We will return.

Loved my stay here for 2 weeks! Felt safe as a 66 year old widow traveling alone. Close to Paddington, Hyde Park, Notting Hill, Kensington Palace and super Underground connections on Central, District, and Circle Lines. Tons of pubs, restaurants, shops, and a beautiful marble bathroom! Cafe for light breakfast items from 8-4. The staff was AMAZING! They will do everything to make your stay special. The Bayswater Road and Queensway minutes away! Great neighborhood full of history. Absolutely charming.

This is a truly lovely place! Our flights were delayed so we didn’t arrive until after 2am. It was so nice to be able to check in on our own with the door codes and not have to deal with a front desk after an exhausting day of travel. There were still staff in the lobby - you will not want to leave the shower! That was the best water pressure and from a rainfall shower head! i might just be buying the same one when I return home. Anyways, 5 minute walk to Queensway Tube stop. I highly recommend this Sonder!
