The hotel is really good. The location, the room, the staff: everything was great! The only negative was that we had booked English breakfast and there was none. There was only one bag with the contents of a continental breakfast in the room. Trip.com should have told us this beforehand.

Staff were nice and friendly and bedding and towels clean. Bed lovely and comfortable. Didnt open curtains due to view from basement window and Sadly let down by being outdated and in need of a little refurbishment which could then make it a great hotel - only a little bit of TLC needed.

Having been frequently stung by budget hotels, which still cost around £80 ($152 AUD), in London I held out no great hope for this one. However, I was actually quite pleasantly surprised. The hotel itself is located in a great part of London (Hyde Park & Paddington Station within easy walking distance). The bed was comfortable, there was a TV, WiFi, and clean towels. The man at reception was also friendly and very accommodating (10.30 am checkout, along with offer to hold my bag the next day). Room was extremely warm, but the old fan got me through the night. Shower was small - which may affect taller or larger framed persons. Exhaust fan was very noisy when the bathroom was in operation, but the water pressure was good. Knowing how expensive London is, and reflecting upon other places I've stayed, I'd use this hotel again if needing to fly out of Heathrow.

We got athlete's foot infection, so imagine the rest... Smelly rooms, dirty carpets, dirty stairs. Towels smelled like curry, of course hotel us ran by Indians and apparently they don't wash their hands when handling hygienic products like towels. Oh man, those two nights were a nightmare. My curtains were splashed with paint and they never bothered to replace them. Do not save a few pounds for this place, go somewhere else.

First of all, they made us pay £20 for an early check in, we agreed thinking that the room was already cleaned, but when went in we found that it was completely dirty: a cotton bud full of earwax and a ball of hair on the floor. Moreover, none of the 5 bulbs on the lamp were working. Everything unacceptable

Perfect location. Clean. Fresh towels everyday. Friendly staff. Everything you need for a basic hotel. Facial tissus and facial cloth would be great though. If you book in a 2 stars hotel, don't expect the same comfort as a 5 stars. But the basic needs are there.

STEPS STEPS STEPS. There is no lift and the stairs are very step. We were on the third floor and without help we would not have been able to get our luggage to our room. The room was small but comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towel’s delivered. The hotel located close to shops and restaurants and a very short walk to Paddington Station. Breakfast is provided in a “grab and go bag” but there really isn’t anywhere to go.

This hotel is not suitable for the infirm or disabled - the steep ancient staircases all the way up the 4th floor will near kill anyone of less than moderate fitness. We were on the 4th floor. We stayed just one night to attend a concert nearby. Our key card took a long time to sort as the concierge seemed a but unsure of what to do, and later that evening the key stopped working so I had to go all the way from top floor to bottom and back to get it reactivated to gain entry to our room. The toilet room door had a hole in it where a lock used to be, so zero privacy, and there was a missing set of curtains so all night we were disturbed by the lights from the street and other buildings. The bedhead light didn't work either. The shower was grimy (although complimentary soap and shampoo was provided) and the rooms interior decoration was in need of reprints, scuffs everywhere and marks on the walls. There was also no actual place to sit and eat breakfast despite the sign declaring a Breakfast Room Down Here, as you are just given a paper bag of assorted snacks as you check out instead. Since we only stayed one night, we could deal, but absolutely wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed here for 1 night before leaving early to get a train from Paddington. I was met by a very friendly and helpful chap and found my room to be clean with plenty of towels and a well stocked tea tray. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. When I left at 6.30am anotgher nice chap gave me my breakfast bag to take away. I don't really understand why with Covid restrictions being lifted why they haven't gone back to doing a proper breakfast but the bag suited my early start and its only a few minutes walk from the station. My room was on the 4th floor with no lift which was the only low point of the stay. I paid about £75 for my room which is a good price for en suite room in London. Would stay again.

Quite a run down hotel and the pictures draw no comparison to reality - there is no breakfast room and there is no lounge available. We were put the in the basement in the tiniest room ever, with a view into a yard consisting of a rickety old bench/table and a Christmas tree! ( random I know seeing it’s June!!) however the sheets and towels were clean With covid restrictions gone, they are still not doing proper breakfast which I can’t understand ? Although seeing the dumping ground that was once was the dining room in the basement, it would take a bit effort to get the room functional I guess Despite the above, the location is great for what we wanted ( arriving into Paddington and BST at Hyde Park) and paid under £100 per night. Would l t be happy if I paid anymore than that. Oh and all the staff were friendly which is a plus

We hated everything except the staff and location. To start off, there are 4 floors but no lift. This hotel has the steepest staircase I've ever experienced. (83 steps). The room we had (404) was super small, so was the bathroom! To top it off, the room was dirty: unfinished carpets, dust and stains on the curtains, insects poop on the bed sheets (another review mentioned getting bit by bed bugs), TV remote caked in dust and crust, the walls were dirty, and to stop here (even though we could say more) the kettle had MOLD in it. Also, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain properly, we could not turn on the shower without spraying the whole bathroom and the walls were paper thin because we could here everyone. The bed was really uncomfortable as we could feel every single spring in it. Another issue was the fact that there's only 2 plugs in the wall and they are not even next to the bed.
