We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a great location, the beds were really comfortable and the staff were lovely. Everything was clean. We had the ground floor twin room with french doors into the delightful garden. There was a toilet and a bathroom just up the stairs. The shower was great. Breakfast was more than enough to start our day off. We had the hot breakfast which was fresh toast and butter, fried eggs and baked beans. Would most definitely stay again. Charming building and great value for money.

Lavandino inutile in quanto troppo piccolo. Shameful, a nigh**are, Dust-smelling environment. Unthinkable bathroom obtained inside the room with 4 pieces of wood to be made from the wall, rusty soap dish at risk of tetanus. The sink is useless because it is too small. Breakfast room in the basement with garbage close to the exit door. The only positive aspect is the area close to the center. Cost for 2 nights exaggerated for the property found.

The minute that I opened the front door and saw the filthy carpet and smelt the greasy kitchen odour I knew that this was a grave mistake . There is no reception desk , I was greeted by a very pleasant but scruffily dressed girl who immediately produced a card machine from her person and asked me to pay .I was attending Chelsea Flower Show , and as such knew that trying to find alternative accommodation would be nigh on impossible . My room was shabby and furnished with old battered utility brown table , desk and bed . The windows were filthy and there was a brown liquid stain from the window , over the adjacent wall and door .The sheets however were clean . I took a deep breathe and decided to stay. Later , I asked if I could sit in the garden . The photographs of said garden on the website are so misleading . It is a scruffy , overgrown area of ****s , discarded bicycles and broken glass . An overflowing ashtray sat on the table . It is disgraceful. I can see why people stay here : price and location . There is no other reason one would stay in such deplorable conditions

Wet stayed in this hotel for two nights and have to say that the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet at night too so we slept well. The location is good too. The whole hotel needs a bit of modernising. The decor is very old. The facilities aren’t up to date either. The breakfast was only served for an hour in the mornings too. We had rusty items in our bathroom which Lord knows how long they have been there! A lot of the crockery in the dining room needs replacing as you can tell it’s really old as it has stains all over it.

As has been mentioned by others, the first thing that hits you as enter the front door is the smell of grease and other unmentionable things. If I could have afforded it I would have turned straight round and left, but as I had already paid I couldn’t. The positives are it’s location, as we were going to Chelsea Flower Show, and the bed sheets and duvet were clean as were the towels. Everything else was not up to the mark, there was a damp smell coming from the en-suite, probably due to the leaking cistern every time it was flushed, which didn’t happen with every turn of the handle and then you had to wait for it to fill up before trying again. The wallpaper was pealing it quite a few places and a big damp patch on the ceiling, probably due to the toilet leaking as it was directly above ours. It had tried to be concealed by a makeshift curtain but had obviously gotten bigger as we could see it clearly. You couldn’t turn the bedside lights on or off without getting out of bed and reaching behind the bed on my side. I can’t comment on the breakfasts as my wife refused to partake due to the aforementioned smell emanating from downstairs. We wouldn’t have been able to anyway on the first occasion as it was only being served from 8-9 and we had to be at Chelsea by 8. If you have room 3 like we did it can be difficult to get to sleep as the windows and curtains do not keep out the noise of traffic and the flashing of the crossing lights just outside. I will leave it at that, so unless you are on a really tight budget, give it a miss.
