We needed to break up a long trip with one night at a hotel. Chose this hotel for its location. Was able to use points for the one night, so we are not out any money. The hotel is newer, but the rooms are spartan to say the least. Not relaxing or cozy or comfortable. Mattress was okay, pillows were flat as pancakes. My ”feather free” request was not honored, but they fixed that after we were in the room. The layout of the room is strange, the chair and sofa uncomfortable, and the television is oddly placed as far away from the soft as it could be. The bathroom had a strange motion sensor lighting system, which you cannot override even if you want to. The lights switched on at midnight for no reason, waking us up! The tile floor of the bathroom has very wide grout lines which looked very dirty even in this newer hotel. The check in clerk was friendly. The check out clerk was not. I could not get any sort of receipt, even via email. I am not sure he actually checked us out when we left at 7 am.

Let's start with check-in: had reservation thru Expedia and was not told about $60 room charge for ”incidentals” (that would be refunded)...I noted that it was not told ahead of time. Staff invited me to cancel my reservation, as if I could! I was lucky to get this room cuz I waited too long to reserve. Adequate room, but since I use a blue light to check for bed bugs, etc., I found what looked like a urine or blood stain not visible to the naked eye. Since I had two beds, I used the one that was ok. Uncomfortable pillows. Place felt dirty. I didn't want to leave anything on any surface. Small screen TV, but had a lot of channel choices. Did have fridge and microwave. Room with 2 beds, but old towels for one, 1 cup for coffee. August, but ”no ice,” (machine broken for how long??). They did have an adequate breakfast included, but you couldn't take anything to your room and lots of notices ”don't do this, don't do that.” Phone had missing pieces and when I called lobby, I couldn't hear on it. Clock wasn't set to correct time (off by weird amount, not just DST). No pets allowed, but I saw a dog leaving one of the rooms. On Saturday night, there was a HUGE, loud party going on that poured outside because of the number of people and disturbed the peace. I was worried for vandalism to my car. Apparently, no attempt was made to correct the problem. Bad area, but convenient to the freeway and nearby mall, etc. They get the 2 stars for breakfast, number of channels, fridge and microwave, but I still would not go back. I told them about the stain on check-out and they said I could have called to get new sheets, but I'm not sure the stain was on the sheets: could have been on a mattress pad or the mattress itself. In fairness, the stain was not visible and one could think washing had taken it out. However, with a stain like that, I would expect them to toss the sheet and check under it.

Back for 2 days stay before departure to airport. Reception was great and help us to extend check out timing. The bathroom amenities were empty. Overall a nice place to stay and rest!

A decent drive-in hotel, to put it simply, it is. There is a laundry room in the motel, and it seems that many people stay in the motel for a long time, and I don't know why.

The first night in Los Angeles. There are very few people around. It is just a place to live. Parking is convenient. Quiet. Large room. Breakfast is American breakfast. It seems that there are porridge and side dishes. Waffles are very fun.
