USA Hostels Hollywood

Can’t stress enough how good of an experience I had here. I even extended my stay by a day and wished I had extended another day! Met the coolest people here and created some of the best memories of my life on the trips we went on through the hostel (Beverly Hills walking tour & Hollywood sign hike). Befriended two Australians, a Brit, a Mexican, a Brazilian and another American all at this one hostel and I’m so grateful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Cool lounge areas upstairs and outside. Lockers were really helpful and you can buy a lock for $5 to keep. Dorms were clean, bed was super cozy and came with little phone charging shelf and a light, bathrooms were very clean, and the breakfast, while quite simple, was really nice to have each morning (toast/bagel/pancakes, fruit, coffee & juice). Amazing area too, in between Hollywood & Sunset Boulevards! Good proximity to Griffith Observatory, Walk of Fame, and so much more. SO thankful I came here & I can definitely recommend! While there was some noise outside next to the hostel at night and in the morning, and the towels were a bit small, I still give it 5 stars. Everyone I spoke with there had the same positive things to say about the hostel as myself. Thanks USA Hostels Hollywood, you guys freaking rock!!

I travelled to LA often before the pandemic and this was my little oasis in the sea of chaos of Hollywood. The last time I stayed there was March 9-12, 2020 and I got out just before the lockdown. Getting ready to travel again and learned that the hostel was sold and is now a hotel. I haven't been able to find anything in Los Angeles that's as affordable, clean, safe and friendly as this was.

I booked this hostel last minute after being one of the many travellers who make a lucky escape from the diabolical hellhole that is Hollywood and Highland Hostel down the road, this place felt completely palatial once I'd walked in. And not just because I'd just escaped from an exceptionally bad establishment, but because USA Hostels is an exceptionally good hostel that really goes the extra mile to cater for its guests. We don't exactly expect luxury accommodation when booking cheap hostels, but this is about as close to it as you could get! The place is very easy on the eye from both inside and outside, and has a lovely courtyard area outside the entrance, segregated from the street outside by two doors. This immediately gives the place a very private luxurious feel, and sure enough the courtyard is very nice to relax and unwind in, with a lot of shade. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient, and the security is top notch as everyone is strictly required to show their key card before the receptionists permit them entry (thus avoiding the problem that plagues other hostels in the area of random junkies sneaking in from off the street). As for the rooms, they really go above and beyond expectations; they're about the cleanest rooms I've ever seen in a hostel anywhere, the air conditioning is beyond superb and fantastic relief from the sweltering heat of LA, the beds are very comfortable, each bunk has a private light switch and plug socket.
