Excellent and very spacious room. Location in downtown really convenient and easy to reach. Meticulous cleanliness and really nice room. Excellent for staying in downtown LA. I would stay here again!

The hotel is relatively old, in the city center near the USC, antique, nostalgic and classic. Breakfast is average, parking is inconvenient. Hygiene is okay. The price is not too affordable.

I rarely write reviews but I have to tell you that I had a terrible service during check in. The guy who was working at the front desk said that he could not find my reservation and then he said it was canceled. I got panicked and told him that it could never happen cause I have never cancelled the reservation and it is still on my Trip.com app, so it must be your fault (I meant hotel) if it was ever canceled. But he bluntly said that he didn't cancel it and told me to figure it out as if it was my fault. I asked him to talk to someone or check again cause it looked like a system error or something to me, but he told me to go somewhere else cause he needs to greet other customer.
I was so scared because it was already after 9PM and I had nowhere else to stay. So I called Trip.com customer center, and the agent was nice and prompt to tackle the issue. In the end, she explained that Trip.com used a vendor to make a booking for the hotel, and the hotel did not know that so they could not pull up my reservation until they got another code. But I think it was partially Trip.com's fault by only sending the reservation code that did not work properly.

There was a strange smell coming in, and the whole room was shabby and weird. I don't know what it is in the sheets. The big mirror of the cabinet is facing the bed. The shower water suddenly sprayed to death. Still asked to change a room in the middle of the night. The pattern is also, almost sent it to me.

The Hoxton was a great stay. It has a very convenient location downtown and it felt safe. Lots to do too! The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable--the only thing that I didn't like was that the walls were pretty thin. I could clearly make out words of the guests who were in the room next to mine (though they did seem to be speaking loudly).

I would never come back here again and I would discourage the same for those who don’t want to be scammed of their money.
