The room was small, but the overall service was OK. The room was facing the night market and was a bit noisy on the first night, so we moved to another corner with a view on the second night. The hotel is full of design details, but most of them are public spaces. The design of the hotel rooms is average, unless you spend a lot of money to stay in a suite

I came to this latest Proper experience because of its reputation... I have to admire Kelly's charm and the attraction of Los Angeles. Every space is a story. Every detail is an adventure... It's hard not to be immersed in the scene. ….

One point of service is for the front desk. The service in the restaurant on the top floor is very average. There may be too many people and not enough staff, and no one can be found during a meal. Then at the dinner table, halfway through the meal, the lights were turned off, and no one could be found to ask. The price is not cheap, many people from outside the hotel come, the music in the bar is very loud, it closes at twelve o'clock, and you can hear it clearly in the room. In addition, the room is really too small. The aunt who cleaned the door in the morning knocked on the door like a fire and told me to run. I was really surprised why the service was so poor

Beautifully maintained rooms, well located, friendly service. Rooms are on the small side and showers are also small with no tub but that is my only issue with this place. Otherwise perfect!

My husband and I had a one night staycation here for his birthday. The hotel is gorgeous, the drinks at Dahlia and Cara Cara were fantastic and the food at Caldo Verde was delicious. All the staff was so friendly and truly made for a perfect stay. The next day we brought our son and had great in-room dining and swam in the pool on the roof. Perfect temp on a cloudy day. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

Our youngest recently moved to East LA, and we were in town to help with the move. We needed to find a hotel nearby and fell upon the Proper. What a FIND it was. From start to end, we were treated with amazing hospitality. Needless to say, this trip was exhausting as we helped with a move, so returning to the hotel to enjoy a nice dinner with amazing views and our comfy bed was exactly what we needed. Before leaving, I have already booked our next trip for next month for another visit. I foresee this will be our home away from home when visiting our youngest. Thank you, Proper!!
