Hotel has great lighting in room, nice clean bed and walk in shower is the best.

Avenue hotel right next to Vermont Beverly Station, very convenient. Booked king bed on the third floor. New room, very clean. Bathroom is clean. Bed is in good condition, pillows can be a bit lumpy. No breakfast due to covid. Parking is $15 a night which is a must and great option. At night there's homeless sleeping in the area. Downside i asked for room cleaning and put the maid service sign on the door but no one came. Asked again the next day and finally they did. Requested fresh towels, get from reception. Overall great value!

My friends and I got there Friday early evening after a 6 hour drive. We were tired and just wanted a smooth quick check in. However, the front desk agent asked for the credit card that was used to book the two rooms. Not sure why if the rooms were already booked and paid in advanced. I mentioned I had used a virtual ghost card for security reasons and he said he wasn't sure they accepted that. I'm like um what? The rooms are PAID FOR! The transaction obviously went through. He tried to call his manager who didn't answer. I had to find the receipt on my phone and show it to him. This whole thing took a while as you can imagine. The agent then took a while checking in each room. I swear, this was like the slowest check in I've ever had and I've stayed at multiple hotels. Then, it was the rooms, the double bed I stayed in had a newish looking AC unit that started shaking/being loud if we set the temperate in the low 60s. We had to set it to 75 but wasn't very comfortable. The king bed my friends stayed in had ants in the room. We had a lot of luggage and didn't want to bother moving all our stuff and going down to the incompetent front desk agent downstairs. Definitely not staying here again. Also, there were some sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot on Saturday night. Just made me question the safety of our car, don't leave anything out, not even empty bags cause you might end up with a broken window.

THE HOTEL IS CLOSED! it’s our honeymoon, we’ve made our reservation months ago, all was confirmed and we arrived last night at the hotel and the hotel was closed. It’s outrageous. We are super angry with the situation. The hotel should be punished.

Arrived there, tried to park in the interior parking lot but my vehicle was too large to fit. After driving around for 30 minutes we couldn't find any parking since it's the heart of LA. We spoke with the front desk, Oscar, who said he'd give a full refund. 6 days later I called them, spoke with management and Oscar again, they got defensive and said "They'd speak to the supervisor". Didn't even do anything with the refund. 10 days later I'm going through my credit card to dispute this stupid charge. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place.

Terrible part of town homeless everywhere noisy rooms, no microwave, sketchy wi fi only enough parking for 20 something cars And getting in and out is like getting an 11th Social Security card, rude staff.
