We forgot to bring our Adapter, so we borrowed it from the front desk, and we were given a whole box of supplies left by others to pick out by ourselves 😂😂

The room decoration is very exquisite, the hotel is very boutique and niche, and the service is better than that of a five-star hotel. Brother Tyler at the front desk saw that the wheels of my suitcase were awkward before I left, and he took the initiative to lubricate the wheels for me. He was very good!

Second time at Short Stories - it’s our favorite place to stay in LA! Right in the middle of La Brea which can feel so chaotic, but as soon as you step inside the hotel it’s calm and lovely. Staff is awesome, property is beautiful and clean, pool is heated. We’ll stay here whenever we visit :)

Hotel was nicely designed but the AC/heating unit was loud and looked like it was from the 80s. Staff was nice but not super professional. Room was nice sized. Bathroom left a lot to be desired.

A beautifully designed reception and courtyard space is welcoming as is the excellent staff. The small bar & restaurant was beautifully run by an enthusiastic bartender and chef! I enjoyed both! And the room was completely comfy and well kept by the housekeeping staff!
