to go to universal studios hollywood
I chose this hotel.
The only amenities were bar soap for hand washing.
Is there a microwave in the common space?
Free coffee and tea service during morning hours
There were some good things that are unique to motels.
It's a nearly straight road that takes less than 15 minutes to walk from the station.

WOW....THIS IS A GREAT PLACE......AND CHEAP!!! We wanted to be close by the Catalina Express and also the NCL Cruise ship as we are doing both.... The host here is very friendly....we arrived 3 hours early so she let us put our bags in the office and she gave us some great food ideas....so we ate lunch and then went on the USS Iowa moored just a mile away....WOW WHAT A GREAT SHIP TOUR......well worth the price....took us about 3 hours.......A LYFT one way is less than $10 or you can take the city bus,,,but the wait is about 45 mins....Cab is just over $10..........This place is so clean and well taken care of and seems to be very quiet.....The neighborhood is full of places to eat....I dont think the neighborhood is to bad either,,,,use common sense as always and stay on the main streets and I bet you will be O.K.

This location is around the corner from the walk of fame, which I loved.
Easy check in. Simple room with free WiFi. The only down side is the neighbors around the hotel are SUPER loud.
Overall I would be happy to stay here again.

The quilt was too thin and it was a bit cold. The room was a bit small and the bed hurt me several times. But the hygiene was very good👍The service attitude was better than other hotels. Overall it was good.

The staff didnt allow us exhausted travellers to check in for 1 1/2 hours (till 3am) after a long flight, even though fully booked and paid for, because they had an issue with you (Trip.com) not charging us the correct amount. The timber floors are thin, so we heard dogs barking inside and people walking around regularly. Then tried to book parking the night before but werent able till the morning... we rise and shine but alas parking is all gone. :(
