I stayed three nights with my husband for our anniversary. It is a lovely hotel we were in an accessible room which was spacious and very tastefully and lovely decorated. We had a meal for our anniversary in the restaurant and had one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Breakfasts were great too. The only issue was it is very much a family hotel and we were very much a minority not having a baby or toddler. This is fine and nothing against children but every where we went, even in our room there was constant noise. So meals/breakfast were not peaceful. The other thing I would mention our room looked onto the outdoor pool which wasn’t that busy due to weather but noisy enough that we couldn’t open our doors if we wanted some quiet time. Imagine this would be noisier if busier. This may not be an issue for most but we were after a quiet relaxing break. I also went for a facial which was brilliant but shame the spa was closed for refurbishment.

Lovely hotel and setting, lots for kids to do and helpful staff. Food generally quite good and great for dogs. However my son left his favourite book there and I was told I had to send a pre paid package and arrange collection if I wanted it back. I was happy to pay the postage but knowing how much it weighed etc made pre payment hard. We spent a lot money on our stay so this has left a bad taste of what was otherwise a really lovely stay.

1st night staying here and very disappointed so far. The main issue is that our 2 bed family room is located in an annex off the carpark instead of actually in the hotel as advertised (there is no mention of this on the website unlike for some of the other rooms). The room itself is spacious but doesn't have bunk beds as advertised (disappointed kids). It's also a bit tired (dirty grout, unclean windows etc) and pretty impractical (only 1 wardrobe in the kids room with 5 hangers for the 4 of us, not much other storage or practical furniture), the bathroom has no ventilation and smells really damp. You can also hear any movement from upstairs through the ceiling. No kids dressing gowns provided until requested or any sign of the kids monitoring system - not that we can use it since we are 200m from the actual hotel and wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the kids in the room. The courtyard where the annex is located is also home to what seems to be the hotel store room so you are subject to continually trolley runs by staff full of towels, cleaning supplies etc. The main hotel looks nice, it's just a shame we don't feel like we are staying there! In summary, might as well have just booked a self catered place for half the money.

A really great stay from start to finish. The hotel staff were wonderful, their so attentive toward their guests, and everything was immaculate. Rooms a nice size, we would have preferred a better view but what can you do. The town was easily reached on foot, and a great little Spanish place close by. we also got great tips from reception where to head in Cornwall. Thank you !

Highly recommended! This hotel is well suited to parents with children of all ages! Our two year old enjoyed playing with all of the toys in the Four Bears Den as well as the games room. The 5pm story time with cookies and milk and the cinema room was always a nice way to end the day. The hotel also has a great indoor pool though it is slightly on the cold side compared to a normal kid's pool, but I don't think it is worth being overly concerned about this. The staff and service is excellent! We made use of the warm milk delivery to our room each night and every member of staff was warm and welcoming and I want to give a special shout-out to Diane who took care of us during breakfast. My family and I would happily stay at Fowey Hall hotel again!

Lovely unexpected last minute stay for one night, wish we had more time to enjoy. Old world charm and not stuffy. Staff were excellent. Elsie and Laura along with Cristian were so welcoming and accommodating whilst we were there. There is an old part and a new extension to this hotel. We stayed in adjoining rooms in the new wing, which had a nice view of outdoor pool and in the distance Fowey harbour with the moored yachts. Lovely spacious modern rooms, but take note there are no safes in either rooms. Reception will store any valuables. Very comfortable beds and fabulous pillows. All the rooms are called after local beaches and towns. Bramley products were provided, but nothing additional. This hotel caters for families, so children are really catered for with fantastic activities organised for them throughout the day. Swimming pool was lovely, luke warm to swim in, which we grabbed before the sun went down, relaxing by the pool. They also have an indoor pool for those rainy days. Breakfast had good choice in the morning, which we enjoyed. Most staff were pleasant, but there is always one, maybe she is there too long and needs training on professionalism. However, she did listen and our eggs were done to perfection and there was plenty of everything. My husband and daughter used the spa, which was incredible. I went on a tour of the hotel to view other rooms for a future stay. Relaxed for a few hours around the grounds. had a coffee. I went to pay as we had checked out, but they said it was on the house. Very grateful. The weather was stunning and the views from there incredible. I was able to join my family in the outside area of the Spa for an hour and it was heaven. We had to tear ourselves away to go back home. Would have loved more time. Thank you Cristian for giving us such a welcome. Great memories of Fowey. We will be back.

If you are a couple looking for a quite break then this is not for you ! This is a family hotel when we stayed there were lots of younger families, which is fine However there is no provision for guests who don’t want to be in the line of fire with the associated family holiday Hun drum. It’s not a dining experience to dress up for. The staff are friendly and pleasant however nobody seems to have control, and all our food orders went astray, breakfast was an hours wait ! and cold , gave up and went down to cafe in Fowey. The room was nice but not cleaned well on arrival , it had not been hoovered , and the dreaded black curly’s were in the shower tray . This is supposedly a top class hotel and has the possibility to be so. However it needs to be able to cater for everyone not just families. And it needs a good clean everywhere . We had to leave early on a family issue, however we won’t unfortunately be back .

We got married at Fowey Hall Hotel this weekend , we have spent just short of a week in the hotel . The hotel itself is a magnificent building set in amazing grounds with a perfect view of Fowey town and the sea. The internal decoration is classic yet contemporary, it made us feel like the hotel is like a home away from home. Planning a wedding is stressful and bring a weeks worth of belonging for a family of 5 plus all required for a wedding could have been stressful but it wasn’t as the staff at Fowey Hall were attentive , helpful and genuinely seemed to care that our event went to plan. We stayed pre wedding day in the Rosalind suite with our teen children, the room is bright airy and spacious with the most comfortable queen size bed all with great views of the sea. For our wedding we stayed in the Charles Hanson suite with the dressing room . Equally as delightful. Breakfast each morning was tasty and plentiful. Our wedding day went without a glitch , we used the spa for massage and beauty treatments , our family dog was care for by the staff, All our plans that we made prior were executed as needed by the staff with upmost of care. Following our ceremony guests were served various canopies and welcome drinks by the attentive staff whilst the staff were preparing for the wedding breakfast. Catering for 100 sit down guests was a breeze for the kitchen, each table was served piping hot food to an amazing standard. A mixture of lamb or chicken for guests all perfectly executed. Our suppliers were looked after by the hotel As we had exclusive use of the hotel each one of our guests stayed there too. Each and every person only had positive words to express about their experience of Fowey Hall. We thank all of the team and got to meet and talk to most of the front of house team. They all were brilliant as I’m sure the guys behind the scenes are too. Special mention to the ones we were fortunate enough to engage with. Ellie Lauren Laura Charlie ( a delightful young man ) Kelly George Dianne Elsie Steph James Jess in the spa Sophie in the spa Plus all the others 5 star staff giving 5 star service
