"small hotel with a nice restaurant with a view over the quay - nice enough for an overnight stay in Fowys. We had three rooms - the quay view room on the 3rd floor seemed slightly overpriced for the size but the classic rooms with no water view seemed better value. Also, with hindsight, we would have preferred to leave our main luggage in the car, parked and walked to the hotel with just an overnight bag as drop off/pick up of luggage was a bit of a pain on the tiny streets and there is no lift. "

"Great winter break in a very welcoming inn. We had a lovely overnight stay just after Christmas. Room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Bathroom a bit outdated but that didn’t bother us. Very welcoming staff. We were invited to take part in that evenings pub quiz which was well attended and good fun! Breakfast had a vegetarian option and was delicious. Very good value and would definitely stay again."

"We recently stayed at the hotel for the weekend with two young children and a baby. Overall the hotel is impressive, beautiful grounds, views and location. The pool and spa/indoor pool were luxurious. There were a few standout members of staff trying their best and offering great service, however the hotel was missing a 5 star service. Long waits for food and drink, lack of attentiveness, not cleaning up tables, lack of towels or staff around to resolve these problems. It would have been nice to have staff around on the terrace and pool areas to take orders. The 2 bed room we had was also dated and not of the standard you would expect for the price point. The rooms in the newer building are perhaps nicer. We also didn’t have air con and stayed during the heat wave. Fans were provided but just made it more uncomfortable with young children having no air con. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, mainly being able to use both pools without restrictions and the beauty grounds and facilities. But the service just needs improving for it to be a luxury hotel."
