Hotel Christina Lourdes

Clean rooms, beautiful views but they have no idea what vegetarian food is, for 5 days I was served the same plate repeatedly and I was also made fun of by the gentleman whose name unfortunately I didn't ask,about being a vegetarian,and asked me if I would have just pasta without any sauce which ofcourse I refused .Since being with a group I didn't want to cause problems but I wouldn't go to this hotel again and I don't recommend it to vegetarians let alone vegans.I advised the hotel upon arrival that I was a vegetarian and was assured that it wouldn't be a problem but clearly it was!

Paper cups to make tea and in the bathroom. The property is old and with a small fridge and plastic cups/ beakers (tea O water) it would be three star hotel. I repeat the staff were friendly and hotel was clean which is GOOD.

This was a great place to stay. The staff made it. So helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and had a modern feel. Great view from the roof top of the hotel along with being able to relax, play chess and crazy golf if you desire. Availed of the breakfast also and it was brilliant with hot and cold options and all you can eat. Above all the staff here were great. On arrival at 11 am they were able to let us into the room immediately (Lucky for us maybe). The man on reception was full of chat about the Rugby and what was happening in Lourdes the weekend. He made us feel really welcome and excited for being there. Lourdes itself was great, the hotel only a 10-12 minute walk to the Basillica if you are not distracted by all the shops/restaurants along the way. We really enjoyed our 24hrs in Lourdes. On leaving the hotel I had prebooked a taxi through trip advisor to collect us at the hotel at 11am the next day. No sign of Taxi so i rang at 11:15 as I was getting a little worried and didn't want to miss flight. The taxi company(Uber Type) said the driver had let him down and I had to get my own taxi. (he did say he would refund me what I had paid but to be honest that wasn't the point ofit) I explained to the lady on reception what had just happened and she took the it upon herself to ring the contact I had herself and gave him a good telling off (in french) over the phone. He was then able to organise a taxi to the hotel for ten minutes later. Very thankful to this lady "legend" at the reception desk. We will be back to stay again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
